current hullabaloo seems to be about the Swedish defense. guess international hockey is no different from the pro game, where the people running things, by and large, are morans and/or risk-adverse cowards. case in point, picking VETERAN LEADERS like Kronwall & Hjalmarsson over budding stars Lindholm & Klingberg:





probably at least 1 of them will make the final roster, but then again maybe the extra spot will be taken by someone like Edler, who is better than NK/NH, and tends to make a lot of Swedish teams.

similarly, Satan picked Seidenberg for Team Europe. he probably hasn't been any good in 5+ years, i'm sure there are better options out there.

maybe injuries/fatigue/etc will take care of some of this nonsense so that the best players make it.

Also, LOLEUROs are a lock to have the worst sweater in the tourney, even though half off them haven't been posted.

Also, I hate to reveal my lack of hockey knowledge (although the Peehs is doing that already), but who is Marc-Edouard Vlasic? I see the Sharks a few times a year on TV. Just drawing a complete blank. Edit-HERO and dCorsi say he's good (no surprise).

Ya, he's a very good player. Not flashy though so that's probably why you don't hear about him but he was on Canada's GOAT defensive Olympic team in 2014 and didn't look out of place whatsoever.
