Idk I thought it was good Koepka, Matsuyama, Fowler, even Fatboy at times, but I personally like those guys. Fleetwood too.

Turning Pinehurst into one big sand trap, Chambers Bay and this are complete abominations and whoever is in charge of this **** show should have been fired a long time ago. 3 of the last 4 US Opens ruined by the desire to use less water and expand the rota. You had a tried and true product people loved what the hell is wrong with the people in charge of this.

ETA - Oh ya i forgot about the 2011 US Open at congressional where fat Rory shot -16 268. Bring back the hard setups and carnage please.

Worst major ever. US Open need to get their fingers out and have over par win next year. Otherwise this doesn't feel like the US Open at all and instead some random US tour event. They chopped the rough before the tournament because Kevin Na and others cried about it. What a terrible decision that was rightly criticised by other players before it even started.

This was more like a PGA Championship at one of their B-Rotation courses. These guys are just too accurate to have 40+ yard wide fairways every hole.

On the plus side, trump probably watched the whole thing.

The U.S. Open should be like the Wicked 18 where someone develops random monkey holes that have no basis for being golf holes (aka going up a volcano or into an oil rig)

The way things played out this week, Phil's WIL may well have cost him his last realistic chance to win one of these things.

Matsuyama's peak is awesome, but Fowler is definitely more consistently good and is beating Matsuyama in many important stats. He's also a lot better of a putter. I'd probably take Rickie on a random day over Matsuyama.

Matsuyama wins a Major before Rickie

Hideki currently #2 in the OWGR with 2 official wins and 3 seconds this season in addition to winning Tiger's tournament. Rickie currently #9 in the OWGR with a career high of #4. Both have 4 PGA Tour wins, Hideki in half the time as Rickie. While Rickie is a better putter Hideki is a much better ball striker.

Rickie gets a ton of pub here in the states because of his looks and nice guy status, Hideki doesn't get much pub here because he's a foreigner without much outward personality who doesn't speak English.

Hypothetically, if you took Rickie every time he played in the same event as Hideki, I'd take the other side in a heartbeat. Rickie has to show he can close consistently. If he can change that, then things might be different.

Also Matsuyama looks kind old for his age, people need to remember how young he is. 25 is still an age where a player could make major strides in his game. It's much more likely he gets it to another level than Rickie at this point.

At one point someone lipped out a huge putt, and Buck grunted/groaned into a hot mic. I feel like I know what his orgasm sounds like now. Not happy about it.
