I mean if he actually plays and they get promoted then that's awesome, and that's obviously his goal with this move. He needed to move down to try to find playing time regardless.

Anyone clued in on VfB's forward/winger situation?

I only know they have former Liverpool hyped LB Emiliano Insua but other than that don't know anyone other than Gossekreutz on their team. Looks like they have a 28-year old striker who has 11 goals in 14 appearances. I'm sure there will still be plenty of opportunities for Green though

Your argument still contained a weak-at-best premise which was logically weakened by better posters. But thanks for reminding us that you're bad at communication.

Why wasn't Thomas Delaney ever aggressively pursued by the USMNT?

probably for the same reason Brede Hangeland wasn't pursued, there was an almost zero chance that the player was interested in playing for the US over their actual home country

Atleast Wondo is in his position, what is up with Zusi?

At least Zardes is slotted as a forward. Dude is not a winger. He can be valuable as a second forward who can run his ass off and will defend, take odd angles and play off Jozy. I understand what JK was doing trying to make him a winger but he just doesn't have the technical ability to play there.

Good things happening for Haji Wright already, it seems. He's senior team camping with Schalke aorn and they need strikers. He's been pretty good for their U19 team and while they obv probably would rather spend some money for an established striker he's at least got a chance to prove himself in the eyes of the manager... though with where they are in the table this might not matter in the long run.

With everyone fit Zardes is probably our 5th or 6th best forward and that's being generous. He's not close to good enough for an NT but if he's going to see time on the field it's just that "work rate" guy to harass a defense. Nowhere near skilled enough to be a regular, especially at forward.

And I know this is a relatively meaningless callup as the Euro guys aren't included but man, Wondo just won't go away

Possession still weak. Bradley still giving the ball away. Jozy looks like good Jozy. Serbia finding a lot of room on the flanks.
