In 2006, there were long stretches in that game where Mexico just dominated Argentina. I blame the loss on the stupid ref for not sending Heinze off. And they got through with the luckiest goal ever. **** you maxi. and at last years world cup, we had the clearest chance of the game before the stupid **** assistant forgot to call offside.

The friendly that USA played against Argentina a few months ago was USA's then starting XI against their B team and they absolutely dominated USA. the score shouldn't have been close. i get that its a friendly so it shouldn't even matter, but thats the only game in recent memory where they have played each other.

So in conclusion, ikes, you're wrong.
Settle down, bro. It's just a soccer game. No matter what happens in the match, no one is going to take away your 1998 Chevy Blazer or tell you that you can't swim in your jeans at the beach.

got some people coming over tomorrow night, should be a great time, beers bbq and crushing mexico... got a bunch of yardwork to do before then (built a multi-level awesome garden yesterday, got 9 yards of top soil/compost for it + landscaping around it coming 10am), i know i could probably make some joke there, but it is what it is.

Hahaha I was waiting for the joke, but I try to keep the gloves up.

Unfortunately, I won't be anywhere near the thread tomorrow night. I'm having friends over and will be enjoying some beverages during the match. That way if we win, it's an awesome party, and if we lose...lots more beverages asap after the match and forget all about it!

Please Bob, go with the same starting lineup except for Landon instead of Sacha. I don't even care if Dempsey plays underneath Agudelo or Landon does. Probably prefer Dempsey but whatever.

Bradley's been really good this tournament actually. I've agreed with practically all his decisions, so I trust him to get it right again.

I wish my friends liked watching soccer. I'll be yelling at the tv alone.

Without commenting on a game which I didn't see, in most people's eyes you can dominate a game or a part of a game without scoring during that time.

I realize this. My point is that Honduras was as successful if not more with their counter strategy at times than Mexico was with their possession attack. Didn't say a word about score.

Had no idea the US has dominated them so thoroughly.

We, we, we so excited.

T-minus 6 hours. I am strangely optimistic.

I think we're down 2-0 at half. We get a set piece goal ~minute 60 but Mexico gets another after the 80th minute. 3-1 Mexico imo.

Yeah, if we start as slow as we have been (even since the World Cup), I expect Mexico to get a goal or two and it's all over.

The longer it stays tied, the more I like our chances. If we get to halftime even then I'll be pretty optimistic. I haven't looked at what Vegas thinks, but I would think we're 40ish % to win the cup? That sounds about right to me.

Here's to a good first 15 minutes for once! And to Chicharito not making Boca look like the slow old man that he is.

And to Tim Howard pwning!

Awesome link. Man, we've come a long way since '93. That was beyond facepalm-worthy.
