Our squad at the time of the stadium building was a complete farce. From then we have been building steadily, but only taking the bargain options "when players become available". Now this was a completely acceptable approach until we have finished financing the stadium and various training ground improvements.
Nowadays it is just a total minus EV strategy and we keep banging at it like there was no tomorrow. Hate it or love it to be able to compete with Chelsea, City or Bayern, Barca...you can't have 5-6 exceptional players/squad. Need to open the wallet and make sure the types of players that are "not available" sign for us and ofc we would pay through the nose, but if we want to be in the CL quarters, semis and have a
realistic chance of winning it...this has to change. It won't because it suits the board...until the fans show up to the games they don't care if they literally throw **** at the manager/players...the money keeps on coming and they are laughing all the way to their 500million ranch in Texas or wherever.
TLDR:

Also we all know that I'm in the WengerIN, crowd, but hanging on to Walcott and not giving a chance to a guy like Perez who has been excellent in all the games he got a chance in is just absolutely hilarious..or sad..depends from where you look at it.
When you have constant evidence that player or a number of players do not work in the given system you need to adapt. Wenger just plays the same system we've played for years and that is one you either need to change, because now you don't have Viera you have Coquelin and instead of Wiltord you have Walcott... OR buy the adequate players for the system (THEY ARE NOT CHEAP)
Who is the next most animated manager in line btw? Cause if our next manager does not get the adequate funds he will need to show a
LOT of passion.
