omar is obv #1, he's the clear GOAT character in the history of TV. still had more depth + personality than most main characters, so i think it's silly to complain that his role was minor.

Bobboisright. Walter White is a fine pick in the way Springsteen in the music draft at #1 overall was, if you admit it's a bit of a homer pick, but you are losing some value. Omar at 2 is a huge spew, he's such a good character because he's used infrequently to introduce chaos and unpredictability into the world. He would struggle with an expanded role.

These are probably the best #1 and #2 picks in any pop culture draft in 2p2 history. lol @ the omar hate

His role in the fabric of the show was an agent of chaos and unpredictability, he is an incredibly engaging, charismatic character and has a really clever premise, but he works best as someone who bursts into other peoples lives than someone who the main narrative is constructed around.

that was how he was woven into the other story lines within the show, but his own thread was extremely captivating by itself

Should be an interesting draft, really hard to have a consensus #1, let alone top 5. I'm sure recency bias will also be prevalent.

Omar is obviously a great character, he just isn't the number 1 or 2 of all time, especially when so much of the best tv drama series have been intense character studies.

#3 has amazing value. Is 1 or 2 in 90% of these drafts. Well... if you get it right.

In any event, I don't want to take anything away from these 2 characters. They're terrific. I even "get" them, to a point. But this is #1 and #2 overall. You don't reach at this spot only because you "like" them so much.
