how the hell is Tiger driving himself around? Doesn't he have full time security? Dude is worth high nine figures, it would be insane if he didn't have security 24/7.

This has to be bottom of the bottom of the bottom. Maybe this will inspire him to really rebound. Lucky nobody got hurt. With mugshot it wouldn't look good for him to fight this.

He will go into rehab and become a stronger person.

The mugshot by itself is the top story on Google News and everywhere else. Cannot unring the bell. I can't believe he drove himself and can't believe a cop actually pulled him over and arrested him.

I imagine he took a field sobriety test and failed and was actually handcuffed and placed in the back of a police car. And jailed. Talk about going from the high of highs to low of lows.

He is human. He will recover from this too, in time, and come back stronger. For the next few months, he just has to accept severe pain.

He's notoriously cheap and spent basically all of his adult life super famous and doing stuff that would easily cost him high 7 figs, image, stable family life etc it got out. Not sure if he even has any meaningful friends he trusts. So I can see why he is not super comfortable with having a bunch of stranger security guys following him around everywhere. Seems like the most likely high nine figure guy to drive himself wasted.

Your over optimism is both astounding and laughable.

Anyone who uses the words inspire, rebound and stronger person is also going to fall for a pyramid scheme.

I would assume getting not only pulled over, but actually arrested and charged, in Jupiter ****ing Florida, indicates an insane level of intoxication.

Perhaps. Anybody who can accomplish what he did can rebound from a DUI. He will apologize, go to rehab, do community service announcements, and move forward. Millions of people have had DUIs/equivalents and learned and had great lives.

Do you expect that this will somehow lead to an escalation in crime?

Rock bottom. Great place to start. I think this may be the catalyst he needs.

Unfortunately, the only catalyst this will be is to his next one step forward before the inevitable two steps back.

He's had a 'rock bottom' already with the 7 iron and the tree. A DUI hardly qualifies.
I've lost all patience with him. He's just a bum now.

I don't know. Up to him. Maybe to come back. Maybe to say golf is not what he wants. This does feel like a defining moment. That picture, unfortunately, will become part of his legacy.

He rebounded back to Player of Year after the previous scandal which was much more toxic.

This sucks. No question. If it was just a story it would be one thing, but that picture is a PR nightmare. No question. Kind of unfair since we all are presumed innocent until found guilty.

His "people" will plot a course back. Millions of dollars and hundreds of people are invested in him getting back on his feet.

In this thread the Tiger nut garglers double triple and quadruple down on their delusion for going on what almost a decade. If it isn't obvious the guy has been on an ever accelerating downhill slide for a long time you are not living in reality. And yes this includes the few good years in that span which also weren't peak tiger years.

Reality is he is done physically and mentally and probably has a substance abuse problem on top of it. He isn't coming back.

lol. It's a DUI, not a one man's word against another scenario.
Once you fail a breath test, it's guilty until found innocent and we all (apart from you) know that's not happening.

Do yourself a favour and get your head out of the sand.

2013 was a great year. This was not an acceleration of a downhill slide. He won a world tour event by SEVEN shots. Look at every tournament and how it is won in a playoff or one shot. This was a dominating year. No majors granted and The Masters incident killed him.

*The year 2013 would bring a return of Woods' dominating play. He won the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2013 by four shots for his 75th PGA Tour win. It was the seventh time he had won the event.[103] In March, he won the WGC-Cadillac Championship, also for the seventh time, giving him his 17th WGC title and first since 2009.[104] Two weeks later, he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, winning the event for a record-tying 8th time. The win moved him back to the top of the world rankings.[105] To commemorate that achievement, Nike was quick to launch an ad with the tagline "winning takes care of everything".[

On April 13, 2013, Woods was up for disqualification from the 2013 Masters Tournament over claims that he took an illegal drop after his third shot on the par-5 15th hole had bounced off of the pin and into the water. After further review, Woods was assessed a two-stroke penalty for the drop and was not disqualified.[107] He finished tied for fourth in the event. Woods won The Players Championship in May 2013, his second career win at the event, notching his fourth win of the 2013 season. It was the quickest he had ever gotten to four wins in any season in his professional career.*

Millions of people are found not guilty after failing a breathalyzer.

Booking photos of being arrested for any crime I suppose are immediate public record. Has nothing to do with guilty or not guilty.
