Whoa, whoa, whoa...hold on here! So we know that Simmons:

- reads TZ
- thinks he should be a GM in the NBA
- is "self aware"
- sucks at poker and sports betting

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS? He is among us, while still coaching the Heat on the side. No wonder he quits so many drafts, probably due to a lack of time. That's a lot of shot to juggle.

Pretty sure Simmons has mentioned that he used to smoke copious amounts of marijuana back in his twenties

he alludes to it all the time in his articles but im not sure that hes ever specifically spelled out his personal partaking.

Pretty sure he has given his vague mentions of it.

Also, Joe Mead wasn't the producer yesterday IIRC.

Was it the chick who likes women's sports? Because I'd have to be stoned to enjoy that too

It seems like it is true because this would be the easiest thing ever to deny straight up, even via easy mediums such as tweeter as opposed to in an interview on TV or radio. But he hasn't, for some stupid reason.

Another argument for a vaporizer. Silent for all your podcasting needs.

we're talking about 3 twitter mentions that he prob hasn't seen (i imagine he gets a thousand a day). he is probably completely unaware of this incident.

He also had a great twitter earlier today...any chance when he say "my daughter" he's referring to himself?

My daughter just begged me to turn off ESPN Radio on the way to school because "that guy's annoying." Tough day for the Herd.

Nope... he's had Cowherd on and admits to liking him. His daughter prob legit doesn't like Cowherd.

He apparently now also reads the Sopranos thread in OOTV, per people posting in the Sopranos thread in OOTV.

Simmons' charm is being a regular Joe fan. That's why things like his football picks being bad are endearing. Always loved his Vegas diaries, draft diaries, etc. The biggest reason he's slipped a bit is ESPN turning him into a star. It's not possible for him to have an annonymous Vegas trip and write a diary about it anymore. Instead we get reports from high-faluting parties we'd never be invited to. Instead of looking at a season or sport the way a regular fan would we get to hear about his conversation with Peter Gammons about the Red Sox.

He's written about how Eddie Murphy got all rich and lost touch with what was funny to regular people. A warning to be heeded imo.

He's also written about how sportswriters tend to suck after they have kids and how if he had kids they'd never be in his columns...

He watches a ton of basketball, but that's not the same as "knowledgeable". It just makes him more confident and more absurd.
