Someone please provide a review of House of Carbs so that I'll no longer be tempted to listen to it.

Re: Sports Media Discussion (RIP ESPN)

the first two were pretty good. the first guy was the editor of bon apetite and he referred to pics on his instagram of a charcoal grill ribeye that is better than what I thought possible ( https://www.instagram.com/p/BVLqcsZls2Z/ )

the second guest was simmons and he actually surpised me with the depth of his food takes

the espn focused pod he did for his main show was one of his more interesting

You need to head the steak thread in OOT if that's the best you can picture a steak looking. Just search for sparks method and find far better grilled steaks

You agree to that when you buy the ticket. If you don’t want to give up that right you can drive or walk instead."

Re: Sports Media Discussion (RIP ESPN)

Pretty interesting read.

Quote:
Based on my legal research I was told that pilots have final authority over who flies on their planes. So I told him that we were going to go into the airport, head to our gate, and I’d let the pilot decide whether we were allowed to fly. He told me this was impossible and that he didn’t want to have to call security on me. At this point, I had a decision to make. How far did I want to take this? Did I want to get removed by security like the Asian doctor? Get dragged out of the airport in front of my kids because my six year old had lice? So we left. But not before I said, “Just so you know, I’ll be writing all about this on the Internet.”

Before my two year old and I left Minneapolis on our Southwest flight, my six year old pulled me aside and said, “It’s all my fault that we can’t go home, daddy. I’m sorry that I have lice.”

And he was nearly crying when he said it.

Re: Sports Media Discussion (RIP ESPN)

I assumed getting lice as a kid was common? I remember getting it once. I played outside in the woods and **** a lot though.

We also had to spray the house for fleas a couple of times.

Maybe we were just disgusting.

Re: Sports Media Discussion (RIP ESPN)

ESPN's new 30 for 30 podcast seems promising. So far I've enjoyed "The Trials of Dan and Dave" (covering the 1992 decathlon and Reebok's marketing campaign) and the most recent one on Phil Ivey's controversial baccarat winnings.

Also, this:
Quote:
Mike Bushnell · Washington, District of Columbia
"That’s why I find this doctor to be the true villain in this story. He doesn’t own his seat, he doesn’t have a legal right to dispute his eviction, airlines have the right to kick people off their planes and refund their money when they decide to do so at their discretion. You agree to that when you buy the ticket. If you don’t want to give up that right you can drive or walk instead."

you wrote that passage, my dude
Is probably my favorite comment in the history of the internet.
