Klosterman's star wars take is one of the single dumbest things I've ever heard, while simultaneously being a perfect example of what makes Klosterman Klosterman.

Klosterman had some good ones years ago but his shtick is old.
House is totally worthless, and I've never liked Klosterman. I go Sal and JackO, that's it.

At least Klosterman has atypical takes and he doesn't sound like a giggly teenager. House is worthless but JackO just bugs me to no end, don't like listening to someone that sounds like he's permanently smiling.

Simmons pod was guest specific the last few years at ESPN but its a must miss for me now. He's like the sports version of Adam Sandler, I'm not interested in you and your lowbrow bros Billy.

I'll dl Chuck tho

Simmons guests have been terrible. Have only listened to Michael B Jordan and Haralabob out of the 45 or so pods hes had.

There's gotta be basketball people out there that dont work for ESPN that aren't Joe House.

I seriously hate Joe House. If I had a gun with two bullets and I was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and Joe House, I would shoot Joe House twice.

House wanted me to tell you that would-be murderers have a 21% success rate per shot on Fridays in January after a West Coast NBA team gets out scored in the 3rd quarter by 5 points the night before, so he's fading you all day.

I enjoy Chuck's Midwestern Nonsmoking Stoner Takes but acting like $3 billion is a meaningful amount of money to the US government is the dumbest thing I've ever heard on this podcast - and I've had the Bucher.

US governments collected $6 trillion last year.

I always thought he could appreciate and avoid topics on which he is completely ignorant and that's fine. I like hearing from some guy who spent 40 hours thinking up inane theories about why Val Kilmer is Val Kilmer.

I was wrong. I was very wrong.

Yeah I managed to get through about 3 minutes of the Star Wars take, and when Klosterman was like "Think of what THREE BILLION could DO for the US Prison System, education!" And I was thinking like....uh....not much?

Too bad Barnwell/Mays NFL pod is gone. I liked listening to that during the playoffs last few years.

He would have these giant game previews as well and it seems like ESPN is just having him write more ESPY type pieces like "What are the 10 things people aren't talking about this weekend"

I haven't bothered with listening to Simmons for a couple of years, but I had to find that clip to hear what Klosterman was talking about.

Forget the impact or not of $3B. That's only like 3 lottery jackpots anyway. The bat **** part was that he thought nationalizing Star Wars like a Venezuelan dictator and having the director of the next movie work for free was a good idea. Wowzers.

If CK is going to go down that (****ing stupid) route, he could at least make it a bit clever and propose using Stars Wars mania to pay for the space program. (Nevermind that $3B is only 15% of annual NASA budget.)

lol

CK's "nationalize star wars" thing was so AIDS I assumed he was trolling but maybe not. anyway I thought the remainder of his takes in the pod were pretty solid, including the "episode 7 is so derivative it shouldn't be considered canon".

most (sincere) AIDS in the pod was BS's "in the OJ trial we didn't understand DNA but now we KNOW it's like YOU DID IT" when the reality is actually 100% the opposite, DNA evidence is becoming less and less credible as we find out how tenuous the definition of "match" actually is and how much prosecutors are willing to abuse it.

Can't Bill have Aaron Schatz or someone from FO on the playoff pods? ESPN doesn't own that, right? I still chuckle about their arrogant pod from before the 18-0 Pats SB.

Also, needs more Haralabob.

I don't think FO is owned outright by ESPN, but they definitely provide content to them.
