The NBA Title is up for grabs and it's more wide open than it has been in a long time!

Who will win!? Nobody knows!

LeBron should also surpass Kareem on the all-time points record list this season barring injury.

Post your hot takes here!

My hot take: I like the TWolves to get the #1 seed and make the WCF!

My streams audio is off. It's about a half second faster than the video. Having SVG call a basket good when the ball hasn't reached the basket yet is really annoying

Let's go Pistons, you're going to suck again but at least it'll be kinda entertaining.

if C's show up healthy with Timelord added to this bunch...how you gonna beat em? Brogdan is just what they needed to take them over the top. I don't buy this coaching issue. I am sure the new head coach and assistants know a lot about basketball. You know they all say "play defense! Block out!" and deep hoop thoughts like "This guy makes a lot of baskets so I will play him in the basketball game." I trust the new guy knows these things,

Brutal 1Q in the Woyas-LAL game. Let's see:

- Lakers role-players look terrible
- Juan Toscano Anderson with three horrible long-range bricks
- Brodie looks as bad as he did last season. Just can't explode and finish anymore.
- Lonnie Walker didn't do anything
- Two quick fouls on Bev
- Wayne Gabriel with two back-breaking loose ball fouls leading to dead ball FTs for GSW

Woyas didn't look much better as far as role-players. Kuminga/Wiseman, I don't see it with them. They're young but so far they're far away from being even average players. They're bouncy, though, and athleticism is important. I like JaMychal Green, he could be a great pick-up. I also like DiVincenzo but he played awful.

If the NBA is gonna let Poole blatantly palm the ball so badly he's going to continue to be a problem. Big-time shot maker. Not a great decision-maker out of the PnR though.

The reffing has been pretty brutal. No consistency. Two blatant missed calls on LeBron drives. Ticky-tack moving screen calls.

But really, LAL can't hit a shot. It's brutal. Some guy named Matt Ryan came in just because he's the one player who can shoot. GSW should be blowing them out.

Good Westbrook: actually makes a layup 1v3 like the old Westbrook in the open court. Worst BBIQ in the League Westbrook: slaps at the ball for some idiotic reason and gives GSW a free point on a technical.

WTF?

GSW's BBIQ is pretty high. LAL has to play smarter if they are going to keep bricking.

Wiggins has been great btw.

The Lakers absolutely, positively need to give up those two first-rounders for two more real NBA rotation players if they want to make the playoffs. This team is exactly as bad as we expected. They are not a top 8 team in the West. No way in hell.

Davis and LeBron just aren't that dude anymore. Davis in NO was so insanely dominant. He's no longer a nuclear athlete. Still a very good player. Top-20ish. Can't be your best player anymore. He needs to be a full-time C, for one, and two, his J is just never going to be a strength.

LeBron also has to pick his spots. Nowhere near the nuclear athlete he once was. He can't blow-by anyone anymore. His handles were never super tight; he relied on his first step and incredible jumping ability. And because LAL has no one who can threaten outside the paint, it's easy for guys to overplay his driving lanes. This forces him to shoot more, and his J comes and goes.

Davis/LeBron just don't get nearly as many easy baskets anymore. Davis used to just first step blow-by guys near the elbow, a la Amare in Phoenix. Now guys can play off him more, his J can't make them pay, and he is no longer as dominant around the basket. He's the best garbage man in the NBA, one of the better glue guys, one of the better defenders, but he can't carry teams anymore.

LeBron/Davis are top-15 guys at this point. This puts LAL management in an atrocious position: the only way to even approach the 6th seed is to trade for Turner (a legit good player but not a difference maker) and Hield (would give the LAL offense a desperately-needed 3rd dimension outside of throw the ball at LBJ/Davis and pray) and toss out Westbrick and Gabriel. But it's not enough to win anything. The best thing for the organization is to be the Knicks West: relevant enough to put butts in the seats but not good enough to hope for anything more than a first-round upset.

LAL player development failed them. Horton-Tucker busting, not re-signing Caruso, being completely unable to develop any young bigs (trading Zubac away for nothing didn't help).

It's going to be a tough year for Lakers fans.

As for the Woyas: they have to extend Green. You just can't let him go. He's still a savant defensively. He can guard big wings or nearly any big in the L. That's irreplaceable. He's a great decision-maker as a passer. Yeah, he can't score worth ****, but so what. He's too smart, he's a good screener, and he's still the League's top defender.

Dunno how the Woyas get around the luxury tax bill they have coming. They got Wiggins on a value contract, but let's be real, you need Kuminga to replace him. And Kuminga's not ready. Just too small to defend big wings, not good enough offensively. Wiggins is valuable because he can create his own offense and he's huge enough to guard big wings.

The best option is trade Poole after this year. But they have no replacement for his ball creation and shot making.

If they keep everyone together they're still the best team in the L. Klay needs a paycut, Green can't make more than $30M a year, and you have to trade Wiseman/Kuminga when you have to pay them market value. But the way Curry/Klay/Green/Poole/Wiggins/Looney play, it's the best core in the NBA.

Heathen. The Knicks will barely over .500 and make 7th or 8th seed.

If you think the Knicks FO and/or HC will "full tank" for Vic you are weak of reasoning.

If, ofc, that was sarcastic, apols and carry on.
