Awards are a bad metric. It's often the category you can win determines the nomination.

Obviously it's 1. George regardless

i never watched it until it started popping up in syndication for a bit there, but The New Adventures of Old Christine was actually a solidly decent show too from what i remember

It's a shame Bea Arthur died before she could make a cameo in the Deadpool movie.

Carroll O'Connor was technically in two since 'All in the Family' basically became 'Archie's Place' after the Edith actress died. Plus he was in 'In the Heat of the Night' though obviously not a sitcom.

She's clearly one of the FOUR major STARS of the show. Come on dude. I dont care she was "supporting actress". She was the MAIN ACTRESS

Right, it was an ensemble.

Which isn't analogous to Kevin James.

I could only find this information that Jerry was in 58.3% of all scenes and Kramer was in 38.4%. I can see this being argued either way. The start of the show it was definitely Jerry and I'd say everyone else was a supporting actor, but by the end of the show, there were definitely episodes where it was more about one of the three other characters. And even if Jerry was still getting a good amount of screen time in these episodes, his part of the plot was generally not the main story.

Edith was written off the show. Jean Stapleton died in 2013.

Has Garry Shandling been mentioned? John Ritter?

was just gonna mention these. Ed O'Neil was also a good pick. Has Tony Danza been mentioned? If we're scraping the bottom of the barrel, Valerie Bertinelli.

grabbed the pax and will try it today

If the bar of 'good' sitcom is low enough for King Of Queens to qualify, then lots of people have starred in two 'good' sitcoms.

Fred Gwynne (Car 54 Where are You and the Munsters) and Bob Denver (Gilligan's Island and Dobey Gillis.) Ron Howard is another one (Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days), though obvioulsy not a lead character.
