So if it was a bad poster, you wouldn't have announced that you wouldn't be enforcing the ban?

Yes. Especially since you didn't even make a post that these bets weren't allowed (which would be ******ed enough). You instead wait until they happen to try and make it seem OK to break them.

If this were a bet for $100 you would never dream of interfering. Bet's that aren't about money still matter. This bet has way more interest and juice for me than if I bet $100 on it. Stop acting like it doesn't matter because money isn't changing hands.

This is a poker site, no one is asking you to like the bet, or even enforce it, but at least respect the ****ing wager and stay out of it.

This would never happen with a euro mod. /fa.tshaft

Isn't that sort of the point of moderation?

LOL NO

the original no post bet offered was between f60 and cashy, and cashy tried to make it a $20k bet which f60 had no interest in. (he would have won $20k)

I'm not stopping anything.

I'm

A) asking them to not make these bets
B) saying that I'm not enforcing them past a month.

I think now would be a great time for everyone to just refer to the prop bet sticky as the guidance to this discussion.

How bout we acknowledge Sethy is out of bounds so it doesn't happen in the future Meb?

He has no leg to stand on. From the beginning it was said he wouldn't be asked to enforce it. All he is doing it attempting to influence a wager from being honored because of his opinion.

wait so cashy is the one who can't post in the omg omg omg someone invited me over their epl thread, and people are upset about it?

there should be dancing in the streets, dude is awful and wrong about nearly everything.

edit - i have been informed that cashy was unwilling to sack up for said bet. shocking!

Saying that you aren't enforcing them past a month is blatantly stating you are trying to enforce the breaking of the wager.

You are saying you will enforce it for a month and encouraging the year long bet to be broken.

cashy realised how petty no posting bet is/was and instead he offered a cash bet upto $20k which was refused by f60.

Offering 20k bets you know won't be accepted isn't petty though.

if you think offering a $20k cash bet instead of a no posting bet is pussing out then there is not a lot i can say to that.

Spoiler:

obv you are wrong

-Hey cashy wanna make a bet on the game?
-Sure, I'm not a pussy like you.
-If Spurs win you don't post for a year, if Arsenal win I don't post for a year.
-No
-hahahahahahah

WHAT A BADASS

Then offers 20k bet to save face, fails with all non stillborns. Ceire takes bet to bailout other guy, which sucks because I didn't really wanna take him out. But some people need others to fight their battles for them.

Your opinion is one thing, you trying to make it seem OK to break bets (and doing it multiple times) because you are a mod and say so is not.
you're making prop bets with people for year long bans from the thread

it would be one thing if you were making these bets with horrible posters a la PITTM, but your making them with people who actually make the thread enjoyable.

its not just the mod that doesn't want these bets to happen, a significant number of posters that post in it dont want it to happen either.

Guys, in the end, the only thing that happens is someone doesn't have to post with the other children in the soccer threads, so does it really matter?
