It's a political disaster for both sides. It's like they are competing to see who can screw it up the worst.

right... and the debate should stop there, but the inflammatory rhetoric has just turned this into a completely different monster.

(by stop i mean that's what the debate should be over subject matter wise)

not gonna politard, but I am stunned that any man 18-30 would be against the government mandating free birth control.

If you've got ideological beef, do you. But from a self-interest standpoint this is like the greatest thing for 2+2's age demo that could happen.

As if we are ever paying for any of this. We are either going total busto or leveraging for eternity.

Free birth control for America!

lol

I'd be stunned if birth control mandates didn't save the government money much in the way many sorts of preventative care prevents more expensive acute care (abortions, pregnancy, taking care of the badkids that result from unwanted pregnancies) later.

Not to mention the cost is lolminimal relative to basically everything else the government spends money on.

[/politard]

But seriously, who likes using condoms?

My basis for comparison of other colleges and the cities they are in are Duke and UNC (Durham and Chapel Hill), UGA (Athens), Emory (Atlanta), Tulane (New Orleans), NYU (NYC), USC (LA), Florida (Gainseville), Auburn (Auburn), and Georgetown (DC). All of those are colleges I visited between enrolling in undergrad and age 23 that clearly surpassed Ann Arbor in terms of campus environment and things to do within 15 min of campus. Ann Arbor was better than Georgia Tech (Atlanta) and Notre Dame (South Bend) and thats it.

obviously any women who cant afford their own are not of interest to me /henry17

in my better idea, the government can stop taxing us up the ass in the first place and people can choose to buy birth control with their own money

I, as well as every other guy posting are huge Pro Birth control people. I support the pill in every facet imaginable.

But when certain institutions like the Catholic hospitals, who are against it, are Forced not by their "boss" but by the government then that is where people must draw the line. It is the hospitals decision and we people an the govt should stick by that decision.

No way do I support the govt mandating birth control. Such a bad call. Looks like Republicans will lose that fight

ok, so the government is not providing birth control. it is forcing health insurance companies to.

the way i look it at it, if you dont want to provide birth control, then dont be an insurance company.

I'm in agreement, but I'm a warm weather whore

I don't like the gray so much, so G'Town and such don't do it for me either.

Ann Arbor has a close downtown making for more food and drink options going for it.

Went for Hash Bash a couple of times and enjoyed it.
