faq doctors:

I suddenly cannot remember some things. like I literally could not unlock my phone with the passcode Ive had for over a year. could not find a file location that I go to every day. way more than just a brain fart. ive been asked if there are other things but obviously I cant just think of things I dont remember until I need to try to remember them. do not think Ive had anything that could have led to a concussion.

what is wrong? earliest I could see a dr without going to ER is tomorrow am.

How long was the duration of not remembering in these instances?

Do you have a CO2 sensor in your place?

When did it start? Any changes to sleep? Possible gas/carbon monoxide leaks in the apartment or car?

That happened to me once but I don't remember what I did to fix it

I went to Starbucks today and someone threw their hot coffee in my face because I was in line and bros apparent buddy was in front of me holding his spot, and when he joined his buddy I told him "back of the line *******!"

Was that wrong?

I still do not know for sure what my phone passcode was. I tried for like an hour and failed my ten attempts so my phone reset. that was this morning.

the file thing happened one day two weeks ago (maybe 3), after about 15 minutes things "clicked" and I got to it but it felt weird. kinda like how when you see a word over and over again and it stops looking like a real word. thats how I was thinking about everything.

I have a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm

not knowing your phone passcode seems weird since it is part muscle memory (move my fingers in this way) and some of just thinking of the numbers and you clearly don't have either available to you right now. I wouldn't **** around with memory loss as a healthy adult so would at least try to talk to a nurse or doctor on one of those hotline things if your insurance supports it.

Here is another test for your memory. The CHALLENGE starts back up tomorrow. Can you name the top 10 CHALLENGERS in history?

Are you on any medication? Do you have any problems such as stress, depression, sleep apnea, insomnia etc?

See a doctor. Make sure you get tested for B12 deficiency.

Dkgo how much P.O.T. do you smoke?
Sporting Events FAQ, Liveblog, and BANGERS Quote

P.O.T. can certainly cause short term memory loss, inability to form new memories etc but it is not going to be the culprit for temporary loss of long-term memory.

Does anyone routinely get blood work done? Testing normal stuff plus hormones? I assume KC is gonna tell me that MY BODY should tell me exactly what is going on but asking for a friend

I've got dk to as a non P.O.T. smoker

I dont smoke or take any drugs prescription or otherwise. drink sometimes but nothing excessive. sleep has been fine, same as its been my whole life. no real stress. b12 is a good thought, I see you can get it from red meat which I do eat a good amount of but worth checking. I probably drink too much caffeine so will mention that too.

Bus,

Yes. Super valuable to do that. So much of who we are and how we feel are completely out of our control and determined by hormones and other chemicals in our brain/blood.

I tend to think sex hormone testing is a waste of time for most people because:

- Hormone levels fluctuate, so the snapshot you get might be misleading
- The "normal" reference ranges are so wide that unless you are seriously hypogonadal, you'll be told your result is normal.

Blood work worth doing occasionally: cholesterol/HDL/LDL, liver function, thyroid function.

Edit: If you already have a suspicion that something is wrong (eg low testosterone) then a high result will disprove that suspicion, but that's about the only way you're going to get anything out of it usually.

Nothing to lol at. Chances are you have some kind of deficiency that can be easily corrected and make you feel better no matter who you are. Modern medicine is sick and makes no sense not to fully take advantage of it. Especially once you become lolold and your T levels drop. No such thing as too much T.

Actually, no. Blood work is cheap and there's no reason not to get it done regularly. And if you actually have an issue and are undergoing changes to fix them (diet, exercise, medication, vitamin supplementation), there's no reason not to get cheap lab work every 6 weeks to see how you're progressing.

I get it done 1-2 per year.

Most cases of B12 deficiency are malabsorption rather than dietary deficiency. That said, it's pretty unlikely to be your problem, the reason I said make sure you get tested is just that it's an easily corrected thing but can cause major problems if it persists (neural damage etc).

Most likely this is some random episode for some reason you'll never know and it will just stop happening. You should take it very seriously though because it could be an early warning sign of something you need to get on top of.

What all do you test KC? Is it all covered by insurance? This is something I want to start doing, like you said, a couple times per year

Tut,
