Edit: Moved this post to the FAQ. A bottom-line explanation is this: The Bruins just won the Stanley Cup. That doesn't mean it's ok for a Bruins fan to follow around Vancouver fans across multiple threads saying "we beat your team of losers in the Cup finals" all the time, even if it's true. Something can even be 100% ironclad truth, that doesn't mean it's impossible for a post to be trolling.

Shorter Clark: being "wrong" in a duscussion isn't banworthy, being a jackass in that same discussion can be.

DePodesta played baseball and football at Harvard, FFS. Casting him as Jonah Hill is absurd.

His reasons for being excluded make sense. They make him out to be the father of sabermetrics; I think Soderbergh wanted to include Bill James and Pete Palmer or at least some mention of them.

They clearly wanted to make DePodesta into sort of an awkward, comic relief sidekick to Beane that also comes up with all the numbers. They initially cast Demetri Martin, so they were going with a comedian either way. Sucks for DePodesta imo.
