WTF. I'm at my kid's 7-8 year old little league game post-season tourney and there are two coaches in front of me actually scouting the two teams and keeping detailed spray charts on each player.

I think one was the commish of the league and one was the commish last year. They are clearly try-hards who are living their glory days through their kids.

isn't little league during the summer? How is the season over already?
I think it's two things:
1) The school year ends next week, so the season doesn't interfere with people's vacation/camp plans. Nice clean break with school and baseball.
2) It's hot as **** in Georgia during the summer. It was close to 90 today already.
There is a casual summer league where coaches just invite kids to play and sometimes borrow kids from other teams. It's more for the players who aren't as good. There are also the all-star travel teams, even at this age.
Down here, we have fall baseball, too, which I'm told isn't as intense as spring ball (this league is pretty intense). My son said he might want to do that because he is enjoying baseball and it's his last chance to get more game time in before he moves up to kid-pitch.
I have tee ball tomorrow for my 4 year old. It's our second week. If my kid hits the bag with his left foot again rounding 1st, no more PJ Mask for him.

Well obviously I was making a joke, but when you are teaching kids the correct way to round the base, you show them how to take the turn, and then hit the inside of the bag.
I went to Taco Bell for dinner, and they asked if I would like to donate 1$ for some charity, so I did, and they gave me a coupon for a free taco, which is of greater value than 1$. I like charitable giving.

but
first ones always free and that sounds like a hustle. id play it safe and not do any charitable contributions and donations for a while to be safe
