Sounds like she wanted to add a line about Nath to her own personal wiki

My most memorable moment from taking Spanish in high school was the one day my friend spent the entire 45 minute class period chewing two whole pieces of notebook paper into a baseball-sized spitwad. On the way out of class he chucked it on a frozen rope into the wall by the door and it splattered all over, probably like a 2-foot wide sloppy mess. The next class our teacher was exasperated and was like, "Does anyone know how a 'vomit-type' spitwad ended up on the wall the other day?" Pretty much all of us just started laughing and I believe she left the class room to pull herself together in the bathroom. A+ citizen I am not.

Cool science Friday:

Guess what this is (if you haven't seen)?

Spoiler:
Uranium emitting radiation

The Manhattan Project began modestly in 1939, but grew to employ more than 130,000 people and cost nearly US$2 billion (about $26 billion in 2015 dollars). ...

Two types of atomic bomb were developed during the war. A relatively simple gun-type fission weapon was made using uranium-235, an isotope that makes up only 0.7 percent of natural uranium. Since it is chemically identical to the most common isotope, uranium-238, and has almost the same mass, it proved difficult to separate. ...

Reactors were constructed at Oak Ridge and Hanford, Washington, in which uranium was irradiated and transmuted into plutonium. The plutonium was then chemically separated from the uranium. ...

The first nuclear device ever detonated was an implosion-type bomb at the Trinity test, conducted at New Mexico's Alamogordo Bombing and Gunnery Range on 16 July 1945. Little Boy, a gun-type weapon, and Fat Man, an implosion-type weapon, were used in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively.

--

Marie Curie was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, the only person to win twice in multiple sciences, and was part of the Curie family legacy of five Nobel Prizes. ...

Her achievements included a theory of radioactivity (a term that she coined), techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes, and the discovery of two elements, polonium and radium. Under her direction, the world's first studies were conducted into the treatment of neoplasms, using radioactive isotopes. She founded the Curie Institutes in Paris and in Warsaw, which remain major centres of medical research today. ...

Curie died in 1934, aged 66, at a sanatorium in Sancellemoz (Haute-Savoie), France, due to aplastic anemia brought on by exposure to radiation while carrying test tubes of radium in her pockets during research, and in the course of her service in World War I mobile X-ray units that she had set up.

thanks...we're hoping the same thing.
he also stayed overnight (wed into thurs) and when we picked him up yesterday they said they've never seen a dog trying to get out of his pen by standing on his two back legs the same day as having surgery for a fully ruptured ACL on one of those legs.
dude just doesn't get it.

Remember my white 7th grade teacher overheard me when I said I knew Spanish better than her. Top 5 most embarrassing moment when she made me get up in front of the class and try to teach.

In addition to that longpost on learning a language, I found duolingo reasonably good for introductory learning. It's also 100% free and online.

I hope this isn't too much politics for here. Stuff like this makes me laugh. You can't just make up a 27 year career as a "paramilitary special operations officer."
