The only reason so many of us have played poker, played poker tournaments, etc... is because the casinos we play them in have strong rules in place where the player has recourse if he feels the game was not fairly run. The protocols and regulations put in place by the various state gaming commissions set up the very important framework for the rules of the game to make sure that everybody who sits down at a poker table gets a fair shake.

Not really going to disagree with the gist of what you're saying but this is pretty lol. Live poker is full of inside corruption and so are the gaming commissions

A guy I know had to go up to North Dakota to one of those types of towns in the middle of winter for a week long project. He told the dude how long he was staying and asked what he should do in his free time. The guy just goes, "A week? Well I reckon I would just stay in my room."

Family friend had a job in the Dakotas, month on, 2 weeks off. Made like 200k a year and would fly back to Michigan for his 2 weeks off. Recently got laid off IIRC. Said it was pretty depressing
