wow, for once they didnt baby france. that group looks much tougher than their average encounters.

wales has an excellent group. it's THEIR TIME TO WORLD CUP.

Israel kinda ****ed, they played the Portgual/Russia group real tough last cycle but I don't see anyone but Spain/Italy emerging.

Love Iceland's group. REVENGE vs Croatia for winning the playoff vs them last cycle. Only shame is they were put in the 5 man group, they are the one team I don't miss games, means I get to only watch 8 of them rather than 10

I think getting a weaker 1 seed is key tho.

I don't hate it, but I certainly don't love it. Our best bet is always going to be to get 2nd and bink through the playoffs, having such a balanced group makes that a lot tougher. I'd rather have Spain/N-Ireland/Faroe Islands than Croatia/Ukraine/Turkey.

I think you're underselling how good we are.

We have a legit chance to qualify outright in this group, which is my point. (Yes, "legit" isn't terribly high, but in a group with Spain, absent of the god draw rest of the group, it wouldn't)

would like an italy vs holland playoff, was only 8 at the time but I do remember all the Schadenfreude wenn Holland missed out in 2002. Wouldn't mind a repeat in the twitter era

Finland 5th is not irrelevant imo. Even if they wont qualify themselves the fact that they are strong enough to take points from teams favors the stronger teams in the group because it reduces the variance.

Denmark's away games are not exactly gonna be high tv production value. Home games will be hard to sell out as well, quite the yawn-tastic group.

Should be able to make it through though.

LOL Wales and Romania being seeded wtf is that about?

First WCQ game for Brazil will be away to Chile. Probably will get blown away. It just feels so much like Brazil will not qualify for the next WC. Even for '94 and '02 Brazil struggled in qualifying.
Maybe Neymar can carry us to a 4th or 5th place finish though I guess.
