13 teams for all of America seems good.

Good in the sense that 13 is the number that would be needed to see USA qualify most of the time? It would be boring though, same 10 conmebol + 3 concacaf teams pretty much every time. 11 or 12 would make it a lot more interesting.

Interesting isn't relevant, more about the new dumb 48 team field.
03-31-2017 , 07:52 AM
FIFA decided to make qualifying and group play uninteresting.
03-31-2017 , 08:27 AM
Greedy FIFA ruining the wc,32 is the perfect number. Just leave it as it is. Never heard anyone complaining there are not enough teams in it.
03-31-2017 , 11:04 AM
Concur, qualifying much less interesting and world cup also. 3 team groups is like single elimination off the bat, doesn't seem right. If anything do 5 team groups.
03-31-2017 , 01:14 PM
wait so this 48 wc team is actually a thing? at first I thought yall were just joking around. then I thought it was just some thought experiment. how idiotic.

It's actually difficult to imagine a worse plan in terms of the impact on the entertainment value of both the qualifying stage and the tournament proper than having 48 teams in groups of 3, so congrats to FIFA for once again coming up with new and inventive ways to **** up the greatest sporting event on the planet.

every country has a vote, so to win fifa elections you have to suck up to st. nevis even if you cant place it on a map

Australia trying to blow a spot in the WC here.

2-2 vs Saudis at half time.

Reminder

Japan 16
Saudi 16
Aus 13

Three games left each including this one and also matches between Japan and Aus and then Japan vs Saudi last week
06-08-2017 , 07:56 AM
Aus get the win, but had to earn it. Still all to play for, hopefully Iraq can get a result vs Japan next week (this game was pushed up for Confederations Cup)

lol Asia
06-08-2017 , 08:31 AM
Yeah, that one was a tad fortunate

Seeing this thread just reminded me that (as it stands) the next World Cups are in Russia and Qatar. Well, **** me.

It's way too early, but I'm gonna lolHungary just now
06-09-2017 , 03:23 PM
wtf cant believe giroud just did that
06-09-2017 , 03:24 PM
damn Giroud
06-09-2017 , 03:35 PM
I can't believe Giroud still starts for France when he's at least the 4th worst striker on the team. And Kante can't crack the XI?

Griezmann loves Giroud.
Also, they hate to make room for Sissoko = drop Kante
