Pretty crazy how badly CONMEBOL gets hosed by World Cup spots. They get only 1 more spot than CONCACAF and if you look at the top 25 Elo-chess ratings 1,2,5,9,12,16, and 19 are CONMEBOL compared to 11 and 22 for CONCACAF. 2 very good teams are guaranteed to be left out.

They do get massively hosed.

Hard to see where the spots can come from though (easy to see where they should though.

Half a spot from Asia and africa and N.A should go to conmebol to give them a round 6 entries.

I meant the 32 team format, and basically not pissing off the AFC, CAF and CONCACAF (since they are the voting blocs that got Sepp etc... in in the first place.

The ideal thing would be to just merge Concacaf and Conmebol like it has been talked about. But Concacaf is not stupid, they want to merge everything except for WCQ. That way they get a shot at more prestigious competitions like Libertadores and Copa America AND make sure they get to send their ****ty teams to the WC.
