Every article/tweet I've seen has it as 150k p/w, but that's probably including his loyalty/signing on bonus which is spread over the length of the contract these days, similar to Young, who always gets reported to be on 120k p/w when his base wage is 90k p/w iirc.

he was a beast for villa when he played CM. And that is why city signed him for them appearances in CM

Milner is a good signing for pool imo, as long as he isn't the marquee signing of the summer that is.

I think Liverpool signing Milner is a fantastic signing. I'm obviously biased, as I'm a fan boy from his Villa days. However, he's only 29 and has some good years ahead of him. I'd confidently say Milner > Henderson in almost every part of his game. Problem is of course they aren't all that dissimilar. I've seen bits of Can playing defense but not much, Liverpool fans would he be able to step up and play at the bottom of a 3 with Hendo and Milner in front? If he could, I think that could work reasonably well.

Definitely in the 'fantastic transfer' camp. At the very least, as Cashy has said, he's got a great work rate and is versatile. I reckon his performances will be good enough that he'll work his way in to the best 11 though.

These great-work-rate type players plummet off their peak rather quickly imo and at 29 I wouldn't be surprised if this was that year for Milner.

opportunity cost the most underrated cost in all transfers, especially them free, 100k+,29 year old transfers.

Milner hits terminal velocity <2 years
