Woodward is like 90% to swing his dick in the general direction of Cavani when LvG forbids him to sign Falcao permanently. I'm pretty sure I donotwant, but admittedly I've mostly seen him play oop on the right.

Well they won't, so that's that.

We'll be in good shape if we get Depay and Coentrao. We won't do that either.

Don't know why you think those 2 targets are out of question

Yeah, they're both very likely to leave in the summer and Arsenal have money and are suddenly willing to spend. Seems like a very realistic scenario.

Honestly dont care about Cavani, doubt hes that much of an upgrade going forward and will cost too much

But definitely need a CM/DM finally, Kondogbia, Schneiderlin, Bender, anyone

PSV chief Toon Gerbrands has confirmed Tottenham offered £15million for main man Memphis Depay in January. The Dutch starlet has been heavily linked with a move to England in recent months, with Spurs and Manchester United keen.

Gerbrands admits he had to think about Spurs’ offer but decided to reject it, although it may be a different story in the summer with Depay’s reputation building.

“They (Tottenham) were willing to offer €20m (£15m),” Toon Gerbrands told Dutch television channel NOS

“We decided to keep hold of him. But he has the option to leave after this season.

“So far, no one has come forward with an offer (for next summer) but I expect we will come under great pressure (to sell).”

The 21-year-old has notched 18 goals already this season and can play wide, behind the striker or as the main man in attack, making him a prized asset.

Spurs have struggled to help Harry Kane this season going forward and so Depay’s arrival in January could have been huge.

United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to bring Depay to England too and so a summer of bidding and negotiating looks to be ahead.
He supposedly views LvG as a father figure (apparantly his own father has been a deadbeat no show for most of his life) so as long as we're interested I can't see him going anywhere else.

LvG won't be manager in the summer tho

We should go back in for £20m in the summer. No brainer really. Would put the offer on the table in early May and try to get it done early.

Don't see him getting the sack even if we come 5th. That's not to say Depay is a lock, we've been linked with a few other players in that position and depending on what he does with the CM position this summer he might even see Di María as a winger next season. Depay makes a ton of sense though.

Hmmm, you really don't think he will get sacked if he gets 5th after spending 180mill? perhaps this is a conversation for the other thread, but it got me curious

150m actually and no, I don't think he gets sacked if we miss out on CL. Supposedly he had a really long meeting about his vision (**** that philosophy crap) for the next couple of seasons with the Glazer brothers the last time they were in England a couple of weeks ago and really impressed them. But then again Moyes was busy making plans with Woodward for his summer transfers when they sacked him so who knows.

If United are genuinely interested they'll have been in contact already and then Spurs have no chance.

I think he survives largely because there's no real standout manager available to replace him.

Vietto's agent says player's release clause €10m and he could leave in summer. Gonna be a steal for someone
Haven't watched any la liga this season but if he's half as good as he's being hyped up to be that's going to be some bargain. Plop were strongly linked before he went to Spain I think.

I really liked kdog since watching him in Emirates cup. Likely cost less than schneider as well? Also younger.

Speaking of DM's, anyone know how William Carvalho is doing this season? He was supposed to be the next big thing last season but I've barely heard him mentioned this season.

Kondogbia is legit but Monaco spent like 20m on him when they were building a top side so not sure he'd be any cheaper than MS.

Monaco needed to do some trimming because of lolffp last summer, doubt they'll part with their stud young players for anything than premium offers, Porto/Benfica style is what they're going for imo

What do you think a premium offer would be. If arsenal gonna spend another 60m gbp again it isnt out of the question for a chunk of that to be on a dm. Theyve already got a back up cb, have chambers who will improve, debuchy will hopefully get healthy. Where else would they need to spend besides perhaps a striker? As it stands giroud / welbeck / walcott / sanchez is decent depth to where they dont have to be desperate and can wait for the right buy.

I don't think they let him go next summer for 30M£, they can cruise to CL money for some time and make more than likely at least the same profit in 2-3 years.

Premium offer would be much closer to 40M£

Is Rybolovlev still committed to the project? I thought he was getting bored with it and was pulling back.

He don't seem to be pulling back, he changed model for sure, he hired a top portuguese sporting director and a top portuguese coach, he seem to be now in the business of CL money and dealing stud youngins.

Smart man, going portuguese is definitely the play there if that's the plan.

Sort of, they had a shaky start, between Falcao and Rodriguez leaving and Jardim needing some time for adjusting.
Marseille beasted out of nowhere but variance seems to be kicking in, not really worried about Monaco not finishing top3

Lyon sort of beasted out of nowhere but they have the best academy by a landslide so they're likely to beast at some point.
