OK, there's one particular player Im keen to know more about and that is Alexandre Lacazette. He's gone bananas this year and hopefully will lead Lyon to the title over PSG which would be pretty cool. I imagine the big European clubs will be sniffing about.

Is he legit? What sort of money will they be looking?

We will need to upgrade at that position soon and he could be one we will look at.

Know nothing about Lacazette but I really hope we're going to be looking at that type of player rather than the Cavani's and Falcao's out there.

Is Ings to Sociedad not basically a done deal? Think he flew out there a couple of weeks back.

Why is everyone so mad this year? Just insults flying everywhere!

Think this thread is a little bit too early but what the heck lets discuss transfer rumours and who is going to sign who.

First off, we still need to get Young off the books. Rafael is a lost cause and we should say thanks but no thanks to Falcao.

Keeping onto DDG

Right back is needed as we legit don't have anyone there. Left back we've got Shaw, Blackett and Valencia can cover if need be.

Centre half. Evans if he can stay fit is good enough. Jones and Smalling without Rio/Vidic look like they can't cut the mustard sadly. McNair and Thorpe coming through as well and both look decent enough prospects, whether they're good enough at the highest level is only a matter of time. Still think we should be in the market for a centre half though - a short term fix but we really need to get that defence sorted.

Midfield - LvG if he wants to keep his job needs to stop being a ****ing ****** and play midfielders in midfield and stop playing stupid ****ty hoofball!

Upfront - Play Rooney there ffs and partner him with Wilson, Falcao or RvP and lets see how it goes.

In- Pogba/Depay/ any quality CB could be Godin/Marquinhos/Hummels etc

Out- Falcao/Mata/Evans/Young/ RVP

New contract for DDG and bring back Nani.

I think Depay is pretty well set to come be understudy to Andros Townsend.

Ashley Young is getting a new contract apparently. I wouldn't even joke about something like this.

Rumor mill claims Khedira will be in the Bundesliga next season. Money wise I suppose that means Dortmund/Schlake/Wolfsburg as Bayern should be set at that position. I think England is a very good option for him as well.

No fee, I don't know how much he makes at RM, Google says 5 million. I wouldn't mind him for ~8/year. Theoretically we could pay more assuming a 4 year deal I'd say a new midfielder costs about 10-20 in fees. If we take 20 that means you could mentally add 5 million/year to what you'd normally pay in wages.

I think he'll end up at Schalke but I'd love to see us sign him (Kehl gone for sure, Jojic seems gone). The extra leadership he brings would be pretty valuable imo (+I really like him as a player)

[I'd also love to get Tielemans]

Not going to be able to pay Khedira if we don't manage to dump WOATeng and his wages

We also need to stop signing injury prone players

Khedira has looked like an empty shell since coming back from his knee injury. I didnt really rate him that high before either.

Maybe he can be good at a smaller club, but he seems exactly like the type that will be overpaid because of his name.

He's legit but not sure who's the better player in Lyon between him and Fekir

They're both in the 30-40M€ range os

Pogba is 100% not coming, Marquinhos is staying here 200%

Yeah forget about Pogba and buying any players from the likes of Barca/Real/Bayern/PSG imo. Really hope we don't spend an entire summer chasing players like that like we have in recent seasons.

I'd prefer if we mostly went for some 20-24 year olds with big potential (Depay, Dybala, Lacazette, Clyne, Danilo, Laporte types) rather than more experienced overpriced, overpaid big names a la Falcao, but with LvG being old and this being his last job I think he'll mostly be looking for the finished article.

When Barca and Real go to sign players huge players in the summer there no doubt be quality players leaving AdM, Alonso, Lopez, Cesc, Sanchez, Valdez etc all left last season. The season before Thaigo, Ozil, Higuain etc all left

They do it every year, everyone should be trying to snap up them!

The hype about Pogba is increasing in Spain after Reus renewed with BVB. He would fit pretty good at Barcelona, but he wouldn't be able to play for them until January 2016. Tbh, don't really understand why people see Real Madrid in pole position to sign him. Mino Raiola is not seen with good eyes amongst RM's directive, he is way overpriced and the general consensus is that he's not mentally ready to play for a club like RM. Also, don't see how he'd be an improvement over RM's midfield right now and who would be the one benched, it's still super hard to pick between James and Isco when they're both fit, Kroos and Modric are not negotiable. It's pretty clear at this point that Khedira, Illarramendi and Chicharito are out and you never know what happens with Coentrao, although if he leaves, Gaya seems to be the favourite to replace him. Wouldn't be surprised if we would get Casemiro back.

True but what quality players are they likely to dump off this summer? I can't really think of any. I don't think there are any Robben/Sneijder types being dumped by Real this summer and we should have no interest in their garbage like Khedira or Coentrao. Barcelona aren't selling quality players while they are under a transfer embargo and PSG have no reason to sell a quality young player like Marquinhos.

Coentrao seems to be injured all the time, he's pretty lazy and seems like he can't be arsed too much. Ancelotti said he would like Coentrao to train with the same intensity as he plays. Can't really understand him, the dude is a beast when he wants to, he was almost always prefered by Mourinho/Ancelotti in tough games. Always liked him, but can't blame the club if they finally sell him, Marcelo is at his peak of his career, he matured a lot and Ancelotti trusts him completely, plus Gaya seems to be the next big thing.

Well, you never know. AdM was one of their best players last season - probably behind Ronaldo, they got rid of him.

It wouldn't surprise me if they shot their load on a Reus/Pogba and got rid of Modric. It's just the way they roll.

Coentrão has always been a very emotional guy, he has the most WIM I've ever seen but I can definitely see him not being 100% committed in training if he's unhappy about his situation. Which is a shame, because in my obviously biased opinion he's much better than Marcelo, he's on a whole different level defensively.

Well, that's the thing, I understood it last year when he had a bunch of problems with his father and the injuries after he didn't leave at United, but don't understand why he didn't leave this season if he was unhappy at RM. Hopefully it's just the injuries that are bothering him now. I agree with you about his WIM and his defensive level, I guess I still prefer him over Marcelo in those aspects, but it's becoming really tough nowadays, Marcelo is beasting hard and has improved a lot in every aspect, he's playing better than ever in the last 8 months or so. Also, I forgot Arbeloa leaving, nothing being spoken about him, but Danilo has been rumoured a lot for RM, so I wouldn't be surprised if he left as well.
