Re: Random soccer/football discussion thread

Wes was subbed off in the first half of the Boca Juniors game and hasn't made any appearances since. Nothing too serious though according to reports.

As for up front I reckon Rooney will get to play in the centre this season with Owen playing off him as they had a good game last night with the link up play and that. Berbatov will play a bigger role this season

Cheers, I'll leave Rafael out of my fantasy football so.

As a Spurs fan I think Berbatov will have a huge season this year. He's looked good already in the friendlies and will find the balance of playing with a partner up front a huge benefit.

Remember how good he made the average Robbie Keane look for a season, so imagine what he'll do with the superb Rooney.

Why?

I would say Arsenal were the poor team having played not second fiddle but third fiddle to Man Utd and Chelsea for how many years now?

Yeah but at the current state of things it's a tough draw for Celtic. They'll probably win at park head and if they do they'll park the bus away and if they do there's a chance Arsenal might not break them down.

Re: Random soccer/football discussion thread

Seriously though, we never get easy ties.

Had to fly halfway across the world to play a team who were already 15 games into their regular season to start, and now we get the Gunners....fml.

Fortress Paradise

We have disposed of teams far better than Arsenal so we have nothing to fear.
