Re: Random soccer/football discussion thread

honestly discussing anything with you just leads to headaches because you constantly change the discussion and you completely and utterly fail at recognizing a very simple concept, that any exception you may bring up as your proof is nothing more than an exception, and something that you cannot use to prove a point when discussing generalizations.

Secondly, the main crux of your point, that a 16 year old can play in the premiership means very little, because the initial discussion was about a team of 16 year olds, not one ****ing 16 year old playing with a bunch of grown men.

Look 16 year olds males would dominate a womens football team physically. If you disagree then you are a complete moron and i refuse to discuss this any further.
You think that your pub team GK is better than the best ever women's professional GK ever, therefore you are a moran and a plastic Irish mune to boot tbf. I thought that was the discussion we were having?

Re: Random soccer/football discussion thread

Glad to see he's starting to play like a Grown Ass Man.

Setting aside the physical differences, I'm guessing that most 16 year-old male strikers can't score goals like this.

Re: Random soccer/football discussion thread

About the stats talk, a few pages back I think it was, maybe this will be worth looking at:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog...r-league-stats

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/chalkboards

I haven't really looked at it in great detail yet but it definitely seems to have at least some individual player match stats available, going three seasons back, that I don't think I've seen anywhere else before.

This is one weird/funny/disturbing picture (From the above links home page) :

http://www.premierleague.com/page/Statistics

Has some basic stats, and something called the ACTIM index, haven't taken a look at them though, so it might be meaningless.

The madrid derby currently on ( Real vs Athletico ) is a crazy crazy match. I don't think i've seen a similarly open game with this much counter-attacks and goal opportunities in an EPL game in a long time.

Iv had more thought of the concept, and cant think of many sports where I would willing watch the females equivelent. The only one I can really think off, during the Olympics at least is handball, which is due to the small size of teh court making the male version a bit less as flowing as it could be. Every other sport I can think off is sports I cant watch for the skill factor, but would for a perve (beach volleyball). Actually womens volleyball I can actually stand too, though that too, can be a pervefest at time...

Just watched the Atletico vs Barca game from last week. Barca won the previous match 6-1 this year but this time Atleti won 4-3, and Aguero goal at the death the difference. That game too, was very exciting to watch...

Wtf is a mune?

Yeah the guy is now a semi pro now and it was my U-16 team not a pub team. Aged 17 he was making appearances in the irish league. You think the best female keeper in the world would be semi professional male standard? Have you ever actually watched women's football?

Yes Irish football fans are all plastic, they should be watching almost amateur football week in week out rather than the best league in the world were all their heroes and countrymen have played and made their name for decades. **** off you smug ignorant ****. Irish fans are 10x better than the majority of you bell ends who think because you were born within a few miles of the ground it makes you better fans than everyone else. Utter cretins.
