Still playing, in the last year of a contract he signed four years ago.

Brisbane have been a bit of a basket-case off the field in the last 4 years or so. Dodgy owners, salaries not getting paid, rumours of the club being purchased by the league again etc...

This season their team is reasonably good, but the pieces around him are no where near as good as they were five years ago when the team was by far the best in the league (went 36 games unbeaten or something stupid). He is also slowing down, and has gone from easily a top 2 player in the league to among the mortals so to speak.

It would have been a tad hypocritical for us if we did naturalise him (we are massively against the Western Asian such as the UAE, Bahrain and our mates at Qatar for their teams naturalisation of Brazilians etc...

Brisbane's game against Muangthong last night was unwatchable, literally. I kept trying to watch it and my eyes kept sliding off the screen.

time to admit that i failed with the 33/1 leon to title bet. they are in last place and they are hot garbage so my apologies to anyone who listened to my advice.
