Been a great player for Everton, what an incredible signing by Moyes he turned out to be.

I'm pretty surprised about this. How old is Cahill anyway? Thought he had a couple more years playing for Everton anyway.

32 - 33 this Dec. am not surprised at all, he'll of been a top earner at Everton, and definitely past his best the last 18 months or so. I think Naismith will be a half decent replacement, and we have a few centre mid's, allowing Fellaini to be pushed forward to fill in Cahill's role. this is obviously presuming we don't sign van persie to play up along side Jelavic

Nah, Everton have Baines for free kicks so what use would van Persie be? He only scored two of them last season anyway and missed so many.

Sky Sports understands that Queens Park Rangers and Sunderland are both weighing up a move for Steven Pienaar.

Sky Sports has also learnt that Everton and Tottenham have failed to agree terms for the South African ace, despite lengthy talks.

Negotiations between Everton and the player have also not been concluded.

A source close to the deal told Sky Sports: "There are issues - I understand that the two clubs have failed to agree terms."

Sky Sports now understands that Queens Park Rangers and Sunderland - who both expressed an interest in Pienaar in January before he re-joined Everton on-loan - are now considering rival bids.

Everton boss David Moyes had made bringing Pienaar back to the club one of his main priorities this summer.
This would be a pretty big blow to Everton. I hope he ends up there, it just seems like a good fit.

Re: Soccer - 2012 Summer Transfer Window

Thorgan Hazard signed on a four year deal.

Never seen him play and understand he's been a bit part player at club level. He's done well for Belgium youth sides though. I doubt we'd have signed him if we hadn't signed Eden but i'm equally sure he must have something to him otherwise we'd have signed Paul Terry years ago

Please sign Warnock and Collins, MON.

Still no signings at Sunderland? No surprise there. That man will never change. In before he overspends again on British talent in like the second week of August.

Its just we are...getting used to it? So there is no shock about losing RvP.
Same thing happens every season...we lose key players, everyone is laughing at the signings we make or do not make in fact...
This transfer window we are(fans) a bit more excited cause there are actual signings to replace the players lost(well nobody can replace RvP to the same extent, I hope that is obvious) and add some kind of depth to the squad that we've been lacking for god knows how long (given that we sign more players that we are apparently close to do)
Its like a broken record now and was the same last year when you signed 5head, the best Spaniard not to be capped and Santos the super FB (all replacements for the departed).

If you are happy with that then fair enough.

Cashy, no I'm not mad just confused. Actually I'm ****ing baffled how anyone can say "we'll be alright when rvp goes because we have just signed some kid from Coventry and another two French blokes to replace him."

tbf as soon as Chelsea signed Eden it seemed like a Thorgan conclusion they would sign his brother.

Re: Soccer - 2012 Summer Transfer Window

Lol Marty. Are you really comparing selling Cesc and Nasri after the season started and not getting any replacements until literally the last minute with getting Giroud/Podolski before the middle of July?

No team in the world can replace the levels of production RVP brought last season. But 7/8 years he didn't produce like that. We couldn't directly replace the contributions of Cesc (and to a much lesser extent Nasri) last year either, yet we were a better team. Does it confuse you how we can maybe, just maybe be better yet again?
