I believe it was staged. Skip knew it was coming.

He didn't get wizardplow'd by any means.

I liked how Reilly came off during that segment. Most voted him the suckiest sports guy or w/e, and I haven't seen enough of him, but he was good this morning.

I like how Reilly also called out Skip on taking both sides of an argument.

Judging from the attention he's getting from the people/haters here, he's far from ******ed.

whether or not skip is trolling (and he is, i'm just not sure to what degree), it is in fact possible for an idiot to gain fame/popularity from their own genuine idiotic behavior. becoming a celebrity or other well known figure doesn't automatically mean you masterminded everything to reach that point

If you're watching Skip for anything besides entertainment, LeBrawn truth and Tebow love you're going to be pretty disappointed.

Saying Skip's not ******ed doesn't mean I'm beating that drum.

This argument is golden right now. It's somehow possible that jalen rose is the most ******ed of the 3 of them (skip and Stephen a)

At least he doesn't make things up, outright lie, and troll like the Joker in Arkham Asylum all the time.

meh i dont get the hate of skip, other than people here wish they had his job.. all media is polarizing, or it wouldnt be on the air.. people would be bored and wouldnt watch..

i do enjoy the athelete's trying to think they are journalists though..just because a journalist talks **** on them you'd think that if u get to the highest level of pro sports you would have a thicker skin.

anyone can comment on sports. it's fairly pathetic to think that only people that played sports can talk about sports.. you'd think we would see more of these "great sports thinkers" in positions that actually matter like gm's and front offices but no the former players mainly can only attain the rank of color commentator...

I can see how Skip types would frustrate a player. He's basically given free reign to endlessly troll anyone he wants to and the player has no chance to defend himself. If he tries to in an interview or talking to reporters, the media (Skip conveniently is employed by the king of sports media) can twist it however they want to as it's in their best interest to create controversy.

So basically they have to sit there and take endless trolling from Skip for 2 hours a day and can't do anything about it.

I also think that was the point Jalen was trying to make. Jalen has put in the decades of work to get to the professional level and he knows what it takes to get there, whereas Skip watched basketball on the sidelines in high school, so his opinion is limited by his own experiences.
Jalen explicitly said that that is not what his point was.

A lot of non baseball players certainly have a much better ability to analyze baseball than Joe Morgan for example.

being good at analysis of the sport > having played the sport (not that skip is good, but i'm talking about your point in general). if you're good at analysis AND have played the sport at a high level, then yes that experience gives you an edge and makes you capable of valuable insight. but you don't usually find both

i.e. magic johnson: brilliant player, one of the worst and most useless basketball analysts today
