No. He's a paid personality who acts his part so he can get people riled up, talking about his show and, thus, watching his show. He gets ratings and does a very good job of what they tell him to do. I don't think he actually believes half of what comes out of his mouth.

I honestly can't decide whether he just says outrageous bull**** just for the sake of drawing attention to himself, or if he actually believes in what he says. If he actually believes in what he says, then yes, he is almost certainly suffering from some sort of ******ation.

He is by far the worst person to listen to, and I immediately flip the channel as soon as I hear his obnoxious voice.

anyone actually like watching that show with the cute blonde chick and the male co-host...i can't remember what it's called, but they goof around a lot. I actually enjoy it sometimes.

I remember when he was a columnist in Chicago, thinking that this guy was like the least interesting, least creative, biggest hack I'd ever read in sports writing. On TV, he's even worse. Thankfully, I have purged from memory almost all recollection of his writings, so alas, I can't give any specific examples of how bad he was, bu I do seem to remember he had these weird grudges he would play out that he would always be on the wrong end of.

While we already have an official bitch about ESPN and bitch about broadcasters threads, and while Dom has a tradition of lame threads, the title of this thread pleases me so much that it's going to stay open.

But, yeah, +1 to those who realize that Skip is acting a role in a play. ESPN talking head conflicts are all staged and scripted, all the time, and it's been validated by several leaks over the years regarding personalities.

Skip Bayless may actually be THAT dumb. It's common knowledge that Woody Paige / Jay Mariotti are actually good friends IRL (and that Kornheiser actually dislikes Mariotti a lot) and that much of the "hate" is scripted, but I find it hard to believe that people like Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless are figments of ESPN's imagination.
