Man I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow. Took a random nap from 9pm-11pm and now I'm drunk, just now starting the HBO shows. Might pop in later with a terrible hot take on them, or just pass out after.
Ballers went full entourage, which is good and bad.
Not really sure where the retired football player turned car salesmen story is supported to go.
Overall thought the episode was decent, and was kind of surprised at the initial reaction itt.
Don't even want to talk about td because it's so infuriating. Told myself I was going to stop watching after the buck shot bs, but unfortunately I watched the whole episode.
I recorded both shows and decided to just watch Ballers and not even bother with TD. Not a good look for TD, although I will eventually watch it.
The retired lineman arc seems pretty predictable he is gonna seriously consider a comeback and he is probably gonna have to choose between his wife and football. Also, lol at a 8 time pro bowler O lineman who isn't a total ****** with $$ becoming a car salesman. In real life that guy should have enough $$ to buy his own dealership.

It almost feels like people were embarrassed by how much they connected to True Detective, and voted against it out of resentment.

that was really dumb. i thought he was like a fifth round pick who played 3 years type player
Yeah, wtf was up with that guy being an 8 time pro bowler and super bowl champ? So he's minimum of 29-30 with lots of miles on him and should have at a minimum gotten one big contract, probably 2? Is he supposed to be a cautionary tale on blowing your $$ or did he take the dealership job so he wasn't sitting on the couch all day? Surely someone that good would be able to get a football-related position that pays more than sleazy car salesman
Anyway were supposed to suspend disbelief, but still. BALLERS still watchable but not a super fun watch so far.
