I will concur that the opening sequence with the long musical background was quite neat.
Tommen suicide was lol bad and totally lazy writing.
and how the **** did Varys get back to Mareen to get on a boat back to westeros? Wtf.
King's Landing sequence was really cool, and I also lol'd @ Varys personal Westeros/Essos ferry service.
Anyways, I thought it was a very good finale, and a fitting end to a season that got better as it went along (and off the top of my head, was way better than s5). But I'd have a hard time putting that episode in the top tier of all time TV episodes.
IMO, the final two episodes were very well executed, but fairly predictable with a couple of exceptions. I think the best thing the finale might have accomplished was that it had as much of a "here we go" feel as it did a season wrap-up. It seems like every season ends with white walkers closing in and/or Dany going somewhere with her dragons. But now that winter has come and the dragons are flying across the sea, these things are actually about to come to fruition, and don't just serve as some kind of cheap teaser. There should be very few slow moving parts going forward (with the exception of Sam of course, who will be shown reading books while Gilly and Sam Jr. wait in the lobby).

I think it has much less to do with what Tommen did to her, or her love for Tommen compared to Joffrey/Marcella, and more to do with the fact that she's completely lost her ****ing mind at this point. When the other two died, she still had a few scraps of humanity left.
