Yes the GOT pace is out of control at this point.

Previously it has still managed to at the very least be exciting when bringing things, people, arcs, stories and battles together but even that, culminating, with this episode which really could have been almost a season in itself, is being undermined now by how fast things are moving.

Cersei being pregnant undermines what I was starting to think looked like smooth sailing towards Jaime Lannister doing right and ending her, or them, altogether, because what was he really fighting for at this point (A MAD QUEEN?) and hasn't it been his life and destiny to end up like that again... Well now there is a child on the way, a true Lannister heir, but WHAT IF in one major shock horror twist that the father is

Well Maggy told her she'd have 3 kids and they'd all die and those things came to pass. Her current extra-chromosomed zygote should wind up in the privy. But they included that info so it has to be germane to the plot (see also Chekov's Zygote) so I agree with Bjorn and Kneel I think.
