Huh? Naz did not do it. We know unambiguously who did it.

Don't say deadlock; I don't like that word...
Guy is also in billions as a lawyer for the main character.

There's way more compelling evidence against the stepdad and nas still.

Lol @ unambiguously

Also how do they have Nas on camera getting into and out of the cab and such on her street, but not have the new suspect dude?

That's in the bag of evidence to be opened 2 minutes before the trial starts.

Edit: Actually I think they might've showed a pic of him and his car on her street, after the one of him in the cash toll lane?

I think it's unambiguous for the viewer. The camera footage, scene with Box, bank records, cell phone calls that night - to the viewer he's the killer and guilty. Of course if they tried him there's plenty of doubt surrounding it bc of Naz and the stepdad

They didn't really present the new guy any differently than the other 3 suspects, there's tons of evidence against everyone. If they introduced new guy in episode 4 and stepdad/Duane in the finale everyone would think stepdad/Duane did it by virtue of it being the finale.

With the info we have, we know there's a camera on the street and from that video the only person in her house that night is Nas. Unfortunately all the evidence/lawyers were presented so poorly throughout the show and we don't really know for sure what else that camera shows

They did.

Like when the DA said to Box, "help me get this guy!"

Or like how Box investigated him at all in the first place and then went after him again at the end.

Or how the DA was completely shook during her closing statements because she knew Box was right.

The viewer is expected to believe Nas didn't do it and the financial adviser did.

So given box was a security guard--did he lose his pension?

I agree that the writers probably wanted the viewers to leave the show thinking the new guy did it obviously, I just think they did a really terrible job distinguishing new guy from the other suspects because they spent so much time building equally (or nearly equally) compelling cases against them too. And the camera on the street thing is hard to just completely ignore. Either someone else was in her house that night or wasn't, and based on everything we've seen in the series the only person was Nas.

I really think if new guy popped up in episode 4 and step dad was introduced last night we're all saying stepdad must be the killer. What they should have done at some point is show conclusively that the other suspects (maybe excluding Nas) had a legit alibi and definitely could not have been the killer.

Love how the show is so ridiculous that no one has mentioned the lawyer shoved drugs up her love hole so naz could testify

They made it clear by showing they have a camera looking at her house and nobody else going into the house at any point except for Nas and never elaborating on what happened between the time they had sex and Nas woke up the next day

how convenient that this girl interacted with four completely different dudes that night who all had a documented history of violence plus the sketchy step father

They didn't have a camera on the back door though, did they?

I think we were only made aware of the camera in front, so yeah someone could've gone through the back and I think that's what the viewers have to assume if we are supposed to think someone else is the killer. Either that or the cops literally never watched he video from the front camera except for the short clip where Nas and the girl are visible, and if they did watch that video a bit more they would see someone else walk in the front.

Also the fact that basically every episode they uncovered some deep dark secret about Nas' personality (pushing kid down steps, drug dealer, violent temper in jail) was another reason they clearly wanted viewers to think Nas could've done it. I don't see any other reason why they would make Nas look like a potential violent criminal if they don't want people to think he's capable of being a violent criminal. I'll buy that they wanted viewers to leave the show thinking new guy did it but up until the last 30 minutes they definitely wanted people to think it could be Nas. That's also why he paused for so long when the DA asked him if he did it

Oh yeah I forgot that part. So not only is Chandra dumb enough to decide Nas has to testify last minute with no prep or coaching from the defense team, but when she tells him this and he's like "I need drugs to do it" she's like "oh that's normal I'll just buy you some drugs."

Lollll

Yup. Her character overall was just bad and should feel bad.

Isn't that the Latin Kings symbol? Not too current on my gang signs but Chicago help me out.

Deus Ex Maybia aside I didn't think it was all that bad. Could have been much, MUCH worse. Probably for the better that they didn't tell us who did it.
