I was expecting BAD TIMES for Gretchen and Elliott but as with most of my guesses was completely wrong.

I ran a deathpool on the last episode and basically put all my eggs in Elliot will die stock. Felt like quite the beat when he survived that, particularly after he drew a knife

I liked the last episode. King Lear reference via the DVDs is very fitting. I would have been sad if the end would have been anything but him dead like that.

Top-tier characters I "like": Saul, Mike.

Top-tier characters I appreciate in a more detached, emotionally sterile way: Walt, Jesse, Gus. (This group is on the same rung as the first, and my top five is some mix of them I haven't decided on.)

Mixed but mostly positive: Hank. (Jesse is a transcended instance of this.)

My favorite minor characters: Hector, the Cousins.

Characters I found attractive: Jane, Lydia, Principal Carmen, and--in a couple of scenes--Marie.

Characters named "Huell": Huell.

Characters I feel ambivalent towards (a mix of various positive qualities and annoyance): Skyler, Todd, Marie.

Characters who actively annoyed me: Walt Jr., the neo-Nazis, Flynn, the Schwartzes, Skinny Pete, Walt's son.

I just don't even know what my criteria for personal favorite would be, to be honest. Walt was frequently the most engaging to watch, but also the most infuriating. Mike and Saul were often the most entertaining to watch, but weren't nearly as well-rounded as the two leads.
