Cold open for season 4 ep 1 of the wire is goat imo..

BB doesn't get my top spot for all time shows because

1) Besides Walter, Jesse, Saul, (later) Mike, and Gus, every other actor sucked. Badger sucked. Skinny Pete sucked. Tuco got so annoying. Marie and Skyler ****ing forget about it. Hank gets annoying as ****. There are very few scenes without Walter/Jesse are memorable. Meanwhile The Wire has hundreds of scenes with any character.

2) They should never of brought back season 5. I am definitely in the minority here, but s4 ending with Walt getting Gus blown up, being on the phone with Skyler (after they have sort of fixed the family) and saying "It's over. I won." was perfect. The cancer became an afterthought to most viewers. They are almost forcing the issue with it this season, trying to come to a close. Now because of it, they are forcing characters into the show. Lydia has almost reached par with Skyler and Marie for me in most annoying character.

3) The writing force feeds you answers, it dumbs the show down for the audience. They shouldn't have to make Jesse explain how he knew Walt killed Mike, but they did. They do that way too much.


It's a good show, enjoyable and definitely top 10. But people putting it above The Wire and The Sopranos don't seem right.

well i called everybody nerds and over-reactors in the OOTV thread because everybody gets all giddie and proclaims GOAT GOAT GOAT over and over again plus that thread is just awful anyway so im abandoning it. I think Jesse is gonna find out the location of Walts buried money and burn it all to the ground and subsequently is gonna commit suicide.

And oh my God Jesse has become so ****ing annoying this last season.

who underrates s2? isn't it universally at the top? usually 4>2>3>1>5? but ive seen plenty argue its the best

The world outside of 2+2 seems to underrate s2. On the other hand, 2+2 seems to underrate s5, which was a damned fine season if not as perfect as its predecessors.

Anyway, #TEAMWALT. Not sure what it says about me that I usually root for bad people to get away with things.
