She said she believed so. But they were still going through the entire Tuttle family tree, as you can see in Hart's office.

Nothing wrong with cliches. Most of them became cliches because they're awesome and entertaining.

Right. And they have as close to a positive ID on scarface that they ever had, and instead of that leading somewhere we get a really stupid paint thing (which confirmed exactly what they already knew). And the location argument is bogus, with everything they could find, and with looking at the entire Tuttle tree its unbelievable they wouldn't have found business, addresses, etc.

Look, this is just one example why I felt the finale was shallow. Excellent show, but as Cald says finale was just lacking. It felt like a super weak resolution.

Maybe they didn't want to follow the money.

Hav you ever seen The Cabin in the Woods? Perhaps you should be asking yourself why your two big complaints are "didn't get enough inside a serial killer" and "didn't get to see torture."

Watched all of td in 3 days. Very entertaining. Love how they are stuck out in the middle of the boonies and every girl is 12/10.

Agreed it's my fault for having higher expectations, but the resolution was just so weak.
I actually thought the paint stuff was good. Seems like a random breakthrough that would happen on a real case.

I'll have to rewatch the show but thought it was very good overall. WH's acting was good but somewhat irked me dunno why.

I think the show could have benefited from ~2 more episodes to flesh out some of the stuff. Can't quite put my finger on it but it did feel a little rushed.

yeah it's pretty legit. i think danny tanner recommended it in the FACK last year and i started tuning in. first ep of the second season currently airing but you obv don't need to follow. kinda like a man vs wild type show but they stick two people of the opposite sex in the most miserable places ever with nothing. no clothes either obviously.

first three contestants have failed so far on this one lol. four and five going strong

there were some hot girls on the show last year. i should pretend to be a survivalist and get on it. sounds like a barney stinson plan

yeah the girl that's currently on has a pretty fat ass but by the time she's done it's going to be perfect. some dude lost 40+ pounds one episode last season.

grunching this thread mostly. I plowed through TD this weekend. Very good. Very pleased with it. Not sure this thread's etiquette, so just gonna throw my speculations in spoilers.

Spoiler:
I wasn't following as the show aired, so I missed all the conspiracy theory type angles people were pushing. I never really suspected some twist ending, and I thought the show was pretty clear in its direction that there wouldn't be one.

One interesting point I read elsewhere: the reason Rust came back, and the way he got Marty back on board, was because they had "a debt." They murdered DeLoux, and by doing so allowed Childress to go undetected for another 17 years. They then did the exact same thing with Childress! And then they have this big heart to heart and discuss the universe in new terms without a hint of irony.

My only real beef with the show was all of the Audrey subplot. I don't understand the point of it. The only thing I can think of is it serves as a backdrop to Marty's life. Things are bad in his own nest, and he largely ignores these (even in 2012, when they smack him across the face, his means of dealing with it is calling her a slut and beating up teenagers). So at the end, when he says he's OK, everything's OK, and starts crying, I assume this is part of it. At the end when they talk of light and darkness, even as they talk of light winning, darkness is still prevalent in his own world. But still, the amount of time the show spent on this subplot is out of proportion to its actual relevance to the story.
