Just powered through TD. I always wondered why not many shows were built around the playbook of "one case over a season/longish period" a la Twin Peaks. Reminds me quite a bit of it (obviously very different in a lot of ways but that's the show it reminds me of for some reason).

Can anyone think of other shows that are constructed like that (and are not...one longish plot in the background a la Red John in Mentalist or something).

The opening scene of the last episode felt like something out of a super sadistic Texas Chainsaw Massacre type horror film.

Yeah, on NBC.

Hannibal's ceiling at this point is a Deadwood type legacy that goes on for 5 seasons if it continues with its current quality.

just mentioned in the other thread how legit Hannibal was for being on local cable. I wish HBO and pick this up. definitely a good watchi. going to marathon season one before I watch anymore season 2.
