I thought Fly was a cool change of pace episode that added some breadth to the show in a clever way and agree with what has been said before about character development

But if you hate half the characters in the show and watch it for the plot then yeah it's no surprise you're not fawning over it.

I also just like bottle episodes in general

Started watching Stranger Things with my girlfriend. It's somewhat intriguing through ~4 episodes but I expect it will start to go downhill quickly since we're dealing with of aliens or whatever.

I have no idea what a bottle episode is but Fly is an easy top 5 episode of the show for me.

What channel is Night Of on in the US?

Stranger Things is pretty elite, Freaks and Geeks meets X-Files dunno how to describe it. The Dungeos and Dragons type opening was pretty well done.
Pilot of Prime series Lucifer was ok but feels like a show that'll get old quickly...I'll watch a couple more.

Preacher continues to be awesome imo

I'm not sure any other suspects have been introduced in the show yet. Maybe the step dad? But the way the girl was introduced/talked to Naz seemed to indicate she was in some type of trouble before she got in his cab. Whatever that was may come up? Maybe not? We'll see how fully the cops investigate given convicting Naz will be a lay up.

Think the black guy at the gas station is in play for sure. Also think there's a decent chance we never find out and the show is basically just a commentary on how ****ed up the justice system is/police are.

I feel pretty confident making two Night Of predictions

1) we will find out who did it (or it'll at least be strongly implied who did it, like some Law & Order episodes do)
2) it won't be Naz

tbh, I think most 'Naz did it' conclusions would be pretty lame. Like if the big twist is that he has multiple personality disorder or some ****, gimme a break. It would also negate huge portions of what made the pilot so awesome, imho.

The Turturro feet thing grosses me out so much it kinda takes some enjoyment out of the show for me so far. That's probably the only thing holding it back from being a pretty goatish start to a series.

Don't think it really matters whether Nas did it or not. Kinda like the show better as a "it's not what you know it's what you can prove" standpoint.

I, too, could do without him wearing sandals to display his scabby feet and constantly scratching at them with a pencil. At some people he'll probably start eating the crisp scabs that flake off after a vigorous abrasion.

Love the feet thing. I mean, it's totally disgusting, but characterization and detail etc. etc. etc.

Seems like the most likely possibility is that she wanted to off herself ("I can't be alone tonight") and what we saw with the initial stabbing of the table / her hand was her grooming him for a more extensive butchery, and she got him to do it ("You do what everyone tells you to do, right?") and he blacked out and forgot about it. But that's kind of dumb, actually, so I hope it's something else.

Yeah didn't love the prison scenes but Turturro getting bounced for a real lawyer was a welcomed change.

Nas is going to get turned out by Omar next week, correct? Certainly hope so and he doesn't just turn out to be the murderous prison boss with a heart of gold.

Wondering what the CAT angle is too. Maybe he'll use it to show that Nas was invited into the house and wasn't raping her as evidenced by the cat being outside because Nas would have told her it bothers his asthma.

And again could have done without a 1080p slowmo closeup of Turturro rubbing oil on his disgusting eczematous feet
