THIS GAME HERE IS ABOUT SOME GOOD OL' CANADIAN BOYS (GOCB's) TAKING ON THE EVIL, HATED WANGZ. NOW YOU MIGHT BE ASKING YOURSELF, WHAT IS A WANG EXACTLY? WELL...

BUT KEEP IN MIND, THERE ARE ALSO SOME OTHER BAD GUYS LURKING IN THE SHADOWS, TRYING TO DESTROY THE GAME OF HOCKEY, LEMME TELL YA. IF THE GOCB'S DON'T TAKE THIS ONE DOWN I'M GONNA BE REAL MAD. AND YOU WOULDN'T LIKE ME WHEN I'M MAD.

HERE ARE SOME RULES FOR YOU CLOWNS TO READ AND FOLLOW:

- DO NOT attack or insult other players in the game. A little bit can be overlooked; if it becomes excessive, or contravenes 2+2 site rules, then Moderator action may be taken. You should focus on attacking a persons ideas, actions or logic - not the poster as an individual. If you feel someone is crossing the line with namecalling, you should PM the mods. Standard 2+2 & SE rules violations still apply here. (e.g. telling someone to perish in a oily conflagration, inline nudity, etc)

- Wagering on the game is NOT allowed. So you CAN NOT say stuff like "I bet you $500 that I am not a WANG". If you say this, then you most certainly are a wang (regardless of role PM).

- Role PM's will be sent out today, if you did not receive one then PM the mods, DO NOT post in this thread about it. The game will open tonight. DO NOT post in this thread until I say it is DAY.

- There will be a POST RESTRICTION until further notice. You must not post more than 50 times per day up until xPM EST (two hours before eod), at which time the restriction is lifted for the remainder of the day. This rule is designed to stop the thread from getting too big to follow, while still allowing all participants to contribute as much as they wish during crunch time. Any post you make which exceeds the limit will count as a vote against you that day. For example, if you post 52 times before xPM you will have 2 extra votes for your lynch at eod.

- NO EDITING OR DELETING OF POSTS IN THIS GAME FOR ANY REASON, EVER

- NO NIGHT POSTING. The thread will (most likely) NOT be locked at night so be careful. A genuine slip is forgivable, but any attempt to gain an advantage by night posting will result in a penalty to you/your team, and possibly a modkill. If there's any doubt, please stop posting 1 minute early to be safe. I can't remember too many times when I saw a super profound, game-breaking post made in the last minute of the day.

You may claim to have any role at any time. You may NOT claim a character name, or hint at it any way. For example, if your role was "Wayne Gretzky" and your power was "seer" you can say "I am a seer" if you wish. You CAN NOT say "I am Wayne Gretzky", or "I am a the GOAT center who played with the LOiLers, KANGZ, Blues, & Rag$ and won multiple RANGZ", or "I am #99", or any other specific references or hints to your NHL character. This is very important. If people start referring to their role names it could break the game, so dont do it. Violation of this rule WILL result in penalty, and could go as far as modkilling your (Note: there is no Wayne Gretzky character in this game).

- NEVER quote your PM, say what time you got your PM, or anything to do with your PM. NEVER discuss mod communication.

- As a general strategy rule it is NOT a good idea to claim a role unless you have a good reason for doing so. There are a lot of reasons why this is the case, so consider yourself warned. I mean seers might want to claim at some point, but even that's not really necessary as long as your peeks will be clearly understood upon your death. Only claim as an absolute LAST RESORT.

- If you need to sub out PM THE MODS rather than posting about it in the thread. Also, zero posts on d1 = you get subbed out or modkilled.

- You are allowed one dead post, however it MUST NOT contain any game content. (PM the mods about it for approval first to be safe, dead post violations can also result in penalty to your team, and possible banaments, so be good please)

- Some players have 24hr chat starting as soon as they receive their role PM. Dead players may NOT participate in chat with living players. It has become a practice for dead players to engage in chats for dead villas/wolves, so if you do this the same rules apply. Be very careful with what you say, it would be a shame for a dead player to impact the game, and ruin dead chat forever. If you are dead, DO NOT discuss the game with players who are still alive.

- End of day will be x:00 PM EST. Posting at x:01 is bad and votes made then don't count.

- Night will last for approximately 3 hours, all night actions must be submitted before xPM EST.

- The whole weekend will count as 1 day. Thread will open at xPM EST on Friday night/Saturday morning and end of day will be xPM EST on Sunday.

note: the exact EOD time will be determined later

Other Notes:

- There obviously is a neutral team in this game, but they might be tough to spot. They have their own specific win conditions that will surely influence the game.

- The wolf team has been informed of some roles not in the game for the purposes of fake claiming. These games are about catching wolfy players and killing them, not about the village being able to lock the game through claiming their roles. In this game, I would be suspicious of all claims, as some will undoubtedly be false and make no sense.

- There may or may not be multiples of the exact same role in this game, so this means that counter-claiming might not necessarily mean that someone is lying. It's also something to consider when thinking about night actions (if you have any).

- Pretty sure this game includes roles never used before in SE games.

- Also wrt claiming, there ARE vanilla roles in this game.

- Read your role carefully, and I would suggest doing a little research on your character if you aren't very familiar with hockey. In this game, things might not be the way they seem... (that cryptic enough for ya?)

- "Keep scores close" might be activated at some point if it becomes clear that the game balance is [censored]. But then again, maybe not.

Events:

- This game has them. Some require players to opt-in, some do not. SO KEEP YER HEAD UP, KID! (first and only warning)

- Events may be decided in a somewhat random/arbitrary/subjective (but honest and fair) manner, you have been warned.

- Event winners will be notified before EOD just so they are aware they have a night action to submit that night. But you are NOT to claim this in the game in an effort to save yourself before a lynch. If you are lynched or killed at night, your bonus NA is subject to the same order of operations as the others. You can claim or fake-claim being an event winner the following day if you want (think vig hit, peek, etc).

- "Winning" an event CAN result in NEGATIVE consequences just as easily as positive ones, so be aware of that when entering.

No talking about the ongoing games, don't talk about this game in other threads. Don't talk to anyone in the game about the game unless you are allowed to.

And before anyone asks, GOCB's are the villagers, WANGZ are the wolves. The GOCB's aren't all Canadian, and the WANGZ aren't all Red Wings players. But like I said earlier, you're not to talk about that part of your role anyway. This is very important, only talk about your WW role (e.g. vanilla, vig, seer, etc), not about the NHL player attached as flavour.

STILL NIGHT, STILL NO POSTING!!!

Q: So I noticed that I am a "poisoner" with a night 0 action, wtf?

A: Yeah well might as well just explain this before we start. Basically a poisoner will select a target on even nights (like night 0), and a healer can choose to use their powers to save the person on odd nights (if they're still alive), or not. If a poisoned player is not healed by the following night (in this case night 1), then they will die.

Well hello there everyone, looks like we are in for a fantastic game here with some great players like Dion Phaneuf, Mike Richards, Carey Price and Jonathon Toews. Look for these guys to be monsters out there! Guys better keep their heads up out there or else Whaaaaaamo!!! A Double Dion!! I've had supper with some of these players' moms and they are spectacular people who raised very fine young men. These guys are the real deal here in this game and we're in for a barn burner. Keys to this game will be spectacular puck poise, having a big body presence and using an active stick. I'll be in between the glass as always with my comments about too many men on the ice and my creepy interviews and comments about players on the bench.

it's in effect a mandated n0 kill, since 2 of us get poisoned, but only 1 of us can get healed (if im understanding the mechanic correctly)
