boo hiss.

granted earlier stuff was more bluesy and edgy and all those obnoxious words music reviewers use, but they still put out solid work.

also, they're a live band more than any other band i know.

hell, they sell out the ACC and still dress like they're playing the horseshoe tavern on queen st. blue jeans and flannel shirts ftw, rocking out, gord skiing mount 8ball and improvised rants on the mic.

Also, I forgot to mention that I absolutely The Who. Probably T-5th w/ PJ, fitting considering Eddie's love affair with the same band.

Welland, Ontario's Attack in Black?

St. Catharines, Ontario's Alexisonfire?

Kingston, Ontario's Bedouin Soundclash?

All 3 are excellent imo.

dk: Three Days Grace, from Norwood? I saw those guys dozens of times in high school.

EDIT: After further evidence, it appears that Geddy's music taste is very very different from mine.

I know I'm a youngin' but so far in my concert going days, I've yet to come across a greater spectacle than a Neil Peart 10-minute drum solo on his 40+ piece kit situated upon a revolving drum riser.

What do you think eats away at Ronnie Van Zant's soul more: being buried in a Neil Young t-shirt (secret, shhhhhhh) or having his timeless anthem defiled by Kid Rock in a pathetic sample mashed up with Warren Zevon?
