I don't think there's a person on Earth I'd vote Trump over. At least Cruz has actually been a senator. Trump is literally a fascist and would justify an assassination if he somehow won. He's the reason for the 2nd Amendment basically so it's funny he pretends to support it.

Seriously, you don't think Trump just wants to win because he's a 'winner'? In terms of winning, winning the presidency is basically the biggest 'win' of all.

Trump says brash, racist, sexist things. Cruz's politics are essentially the same but he understands how to package it neatly. I don't even want to consider which one I'd vote for because I'm not a masochist. And if either were president, I'd move to Canada.

I think only Bernie and Rand Paul are trustworthy as far as knowing you'll get what you voted for if they win.

You know what you'll get from everyone other than Trump. You'd get whatever lobbysts pay them the most want. That's what we've had for decades so there's really no reason to be alarmed.

Obviously BERN GOAT and anyone not supporting him should feel bad.

TRUMP is the ultimate wildcard. He could legitimately be a top 5 President ever or the worst one ever. Considering the best case scenario for basically anyone else is a middling Presidency with nothing remarkable happening and little action its a gamble that might be worth taking. If he sucks he never gets 2 terms AND he is certainly someone who would be much more impeachable than any other candidate if he really really sucks. Also, I would venture to guess that his real political views are as centrist as any candidate on either side.

Plus, we will get to Make America Great Again.

Yeah I'm with you here. I agree that Cruz personally is brash racist sexist etc. I just don't think he cares enough about any of that stuff. He's already basically owned by hedge funds. Those backers don't really share heinous social views. They just know it's smart for him to pander to them.

Trump is just much worse overall and isn't accountable to anyone. Neither will win so it's moot but Trump woat.

Looks like Fox is trying to eliminate some candidates from the next debate:

They should do it bracket style. Have one on one debates. With the winners advancing. Judging who won can be done by Twitter or something else like tha. it would be amazing

Or even better, the Play-in debate. The first four out face off for the last two spots immediately prior. And then they have to come back on short rest for the main debate.

Agree with this. Cruz seems more like a slimy weasel who wants to be POTUS really badly than some evil connected freedom destroyer

Except instead of a play-in debate to make the main debate have a Japanese game show style event for the wannabes.

Rubio ad in MA (surprised these exist but w/e):

"I'm here for the (group A), (group B), and 'people with traditional values who have been branded as bigots due to their beliefs"

I had figured the gay marriage SCOTUS decision was a (hidden) massive win for Republicans as this was a losing battle they could now ignore, citing SCOTUS. c'mon man. Yes, you're a bigot if your "traditional religious values" means other people don't get the same rights as you, hiding behind religious beliefs doesn't make it ok. I don't get how pandering to the religious right is still a strategy these guys roll with when it's hugely distasteful to so many.

so much smarter to just cite SCOTUS, say it's not a battle you can fight right now, and talk about other stuff. even if you are a bigot.

Pretty massive % of the GOP Primary voting electorate is still anti gay marriage.

Yeah but that battle has been fought and lost. It's over and the public keeps sliding further and further away from that view.

Why continue to fight and alienate non kooks?

You have families out there paying 6, 8, 10 percent on student debt but you can refinance your homes at 3 percent. What sense is that?

Do we really want someone President that doesn't understand this kind of stuff?

I'll take it over a president that doesn't understand the difference between ISIS and refugees. Oh, that's the entire Republican party's nominees?
