I mean, I actually am sympathetic to the idea that the Dept. of Education is super wasteful and probably does more harm than good and especially when you consider the opportunity cost, but HOW CAN IT POSSIBLY BE A WINNING STRATEGY to be like "yeah im getting rid of education and I'm gonna **** the environment up the ass" even on the Republican side?

loooool at getting rid of the IRS btw, a better way to reduce the deficit would be to triple the IRS budget. You can talk about simplifying tax code and thats obviously decades overdue, but the IRS is a moneymaker not a money loser
