I'm honestly not sure Pence would be better than the incompetent, mentally age 5 clown currently in charge. I am starting to think there's a real chance Trump gets impeached and removed if his approval rating keeps dropping. I'm guessing if it drops under 25% he's in serious danger and at 20% he's gonna get fired.

Pence is better than trump for sure. Not even in question. Totalitarian factor goes down to normal levels. The fear is that he is more successful in implementing a damaging, conservative agenda. I am not getting caught up on that personally. Keep in mind that impeachment will take a long time, and it will be a deep scar for the Republican Party. Pence will probably not have much time to execute his vision, and he'll have virtually no mandate to do it. They'll get massacred in mid terms even though the dynamics are in their favor wrt seats in jeopardy and it will be even worse in 2020.

It took me less than a month to come around to understanding that pence wouldn't be nearly as bad and I have the same fear about him being very effective at pushing a horrible agenda.
