Depends on how it turns out:

No wall: "Aint it cool how he suckered all those rubes into thinking he'd build a wall? Trump rulezzz!"

Boondoggle wall: "He said he'd build and and he did. Even though the wall does nothing and runs up the debt and deficit - Trump delivered and that's all that matters."

Half-assed stab at a tiny part of the wall: "Democrats sabotaged the great wall. TRUMP rulezz!"

Really do not understand the pro wall sentiment. I guess it's much easier if you don't have to live near it. Would not call berlin wall "pretty successful" but I guess everybody is building walls these days.

Projected cost of the fence was way less, smaller in size and still hit way too many roadblocks to get done as written. Texas border land is a ton of rivers, Big Bend national park and private landowners. Invoking eminent domain to seize all that land is a legal nightmare and physical construction of the wall is impossible in many places. In 2017 it just seems like a poor option compared to alternatives.

Thanks and yeah i figured as much on Texas. Do you know anything about how costs of significantly upping human security across the border compare to wall costs? Feels like it's more logistically feasible but I think would be more expensive?

Border security is also a much bigger deal/need to certain segments of the media than in reality.

disko and his buddies have basically come out and said it: the Wall itself isn't as important as the symbolism.

Yea, the wall is a bad solution to a non existent problem. But whatever, gotta have border security yo!

1. Most illegal immigrants enter the country legally and would not be stopped by a wall.
2. Illegal immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than the native population.
3. Illegal immigrants are a big net win for the economy, including for blue collar workers.
4. Most illegal immigrants pay federal income taxes (with the ability to get a refund if they overpay), and virtually all pay state and local taxes.

I mean you're dealing with people like pwnsall who want to end all immigration via executive order. What the **** are you supposed to say to idiocy like that?

80 times Trump talked about Putin

I enjoy:

"Oct. 17, 2013

Trump tells David Letterman that he’s done “a lot of business with the Russians” and says they are “smart” and “tough” and that they don’t look “so dumb right now.” He calls Putin a “tough guy” and says that he “met him once.”

It's just so, so weird which things conservatives choose to deploy the "unlimited supply of dollars" argument on and which things they don't...

Unlimited dollars = BAD when it harms rich white people

Unlimited dollars = GOOD when it hurts brown people.

Its that simple. There is truly no other factor at play at this point other than racism.

Wall is a standard authoritative tool. Nothing was there, I came to power and now you have something you can SEE AND TOUCH rather than taking taxpayer money and sending it to some sketchy channels where they will end up in the hands of some lazy poor.

The trumpkins will see it as practical or somehow talk themselves into it(SAVING AMERICAN LIVES).

In 2009 Viktor Orban a Hungarian nationalist who was firmly anti-Russia met with Putin for 15 minutes. Then he kinda changed his mind, switched to pro-Russia/anti-EU, got to power and is pretty much a dictator now. This Vlad guy must have the best words.

They also suck, and I hope you realize that deep down.

Their policies are not America for Americans. Look at the CBO impact (non-partisan) of the healthcare bill on Americans. You might convince yourself that's the case, but it's provably false. It does align with viewpoints that are overall abhorrent to anyone with a shred of empathy, but that's another thing entirely.
