Trump currently doing a press conference. Seems like a neutered dog. Something has changed inside of him. He's already emotionally hedging against not winning.

He's actually coming off super likeable here. Probably means he'll lose all of his supporters.

Girlfriend's folks couldn't get into the Trump event tonight and they had advance tickets.

So this still seems very much like a race among the GOP.

Also, I found it refreshing to find out that not understanding the difference between percentages and percentage points is a global thing. I even heard both ways used in the same sentence without clarification. Coupled with "here's the republican vote - you can see red, redder and the reddest" it's like CNN was trying to be as confusing as possible.
The Republican caucuses are much more religious than the state. Churches organize transportation for members, some caucuses are held in churches, and evangelicals are just plain more likely to show up.

Oh damn. Guess it's good that the GOP one is done by secret ballots then. Otherwise some influential priest might have hundred+ votes.

I probably couldn't resist going to a church republican one and having people convince me of the greatness of Ted Cruz.

When I first read about the caucus system I had high hopes that CNN would show me fat Americans arm-wrestling for the undecideds, left pretty disappointed so how about you abolish this oddity and vote like a normal person.

I've been telling you guys that "thug" isn't always pejorative:

Thugs warn of a 'year of violence' following attacks on child

Examples from other cultures where words have a different heritage is not evidence of the use in the US. GJGE I guess.

I'm not convinced Trump wins NH despite his current 17 point lead or whatever. If he does win and does it by more than 10 points I'll be shocked.

Trump might win NH simply because the other candidates are fractured. If he wins with ~25% it's actually a massive defeat.

Surprised Rand dropped out now before NH where he probably would have done relatively well. Him dropping out probably helps Trump.

I don't see how Rand supporters fit into the Trump camp at all and I would expect them to support anyone except him. I would guess Cruz gets most of Rand's former support.

The race should be down to Rubio vs Cruz pretty quickly. I think Trump is 50/50 to even make it to March 1 and unlikely to last a week after that. Trump is such a clown and his support is going to fade away super fast.

Wait a minute, are you guys telling me that the Daily Mail was using thug negatively in that context?

You know, for a language with a shrinking vocabulary, Newspeak is really hard to keep up with.

Are you dense? The Dail Mail is a British newspaper.

Considering the number of words in British English and American English that have entirely different meanings, is it that hard to imagine an adjective has evolved over time to have slightly different connotations?

Yes, I really thought a major newspaper in a Muslim country like England was using the word thug positively in a story about neo-nazis.

We both know you were being facetious and we both know what you were trying to imply. But I can't tell if your last post is playing dumb or being dumb.

If you can cite specific posts of me calling non-trolls dumb/idiot/moron or whatever, I'll gladly donate to your favorite charity.

I don't want to comb through your posts, that sounds awful, but here's one:

And I realize you probably don't directly call people dumb as often as you so slyly do it with the condescending sarcasm.

Anyway, I like this charity:
