This idea isn't really meant to appeal to the intelligence level of posters here, but its meant to win. If we want progress, we have to win first. Democrats are really good at issues, Republicans are really good at winning. We can be really smart and talk about these issues in an intelligent way and keep losing, or we can try to win and actually make progress on important issues.

The way to "win" is to beat them at their own game. Right now the focus should be ultimate obstruction. They have already proven there is no tangible consequence to doing that in fact it ended up benefitting them a ton.

The GOP created the playbook you need to use. It's right there and the Democrats actually have a majority of the people on their side ideologically.

Obstruct obstruct obstruct

Get into power

Get your **** passed with blunt force and no apologies

No half measure bull****

Change the rules, break the rules, do what it takes

Biggest problem is tons of Democratic Politicians couldn't care less about making a positive impact and are fully bought and paid for

Agree, Dems should be full stop obstructing in every way they can, and then put my ideas into use for 2018 campaigns. Again, my posts should only be read as how they need to campaign and speak publicly on issues.

The problem is Democrats could completely cave on key issues and Republicans would just take quotes out of context or make up **** in its place - breathlessly reported as true by their media bubble. Now Dems have lost ground and gained nothing.

MEb- Here's the thing. I think you're mostly right on 2 of those and 100% wrong on the third.

Environmental stuff needs to be way more focused on demonizing polluters. **** our kids, clearly nobody cares about the future. So not even clean air and water, that's a non-starter because the GOP will just co-opt that and say they are also for those things. Real specifically, as your representative I will stop companies from doing X and Y that they are currently doing. When you small scale it down and ask people if companies should be allowed to dump excess **** in the river or cleancut forests EVERYONE says no. When you big picture it about renewal energy and rising oceans vs. Big Government that muddles the issue.

Guns, eh, I think we're at the happy medium right now. They'll make it up anyway. Just say we're for common sense gun control. You can't go so far without alienating the left.

Abortion you're entirely wrong. We need to be MORE aggressive about that, if we had any ****ing balls and actually called bull**** on the pro-life people cloaking themselves in the Bible we'd get them to say so many Legitimate Rape comments. Instead there's generally this weird "agree to disagree" tone. **** that.

It must be really confusing for incompetent dip****s that bought their way into and out of everything ever as all of this is unfolding. "What do you mean you can't just make it go away?"

Kushner is a joke of a businessperson. Daddy left him a portfolio of boring but high performing properties, and he has of course ****ed it up by trying to be Mr. Bigshot. Example:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...nd-rising-fees

Quote:
“It is an understatement to say this building is not doing well,” said Joshua Stein, a New York real estate lawyer, after reviewing its financials and the refinancing agreement.

The original purchase in early 2007 was his grand entry into Manhattan -- taking the company his father built on suburban garden apartments into a future marked by more prestigious urban properties. Costing a then-record-setting $1.8 billion in early 2007, the building would later become a symbol for a period of irrational exuberance in U.S. real estate, where a belief in forever-climbing rents sent values soaring.

Guy must have run an exceedingly polite campaign, which according to expert pollsters garners you 30-35% of the vote by itself in Canada.
