Def sorta assclownish but come on dude, the guy cant work for four months (if thats actually the case) then you have to sue, you cant just forgoe 33% of your yearly wages and not try and get reimbursement.

This makes me so incredibly angry I can't put it into words.

I swear to sweet, tiny baby jesus that if i somehow ever cross paths with this guy that i will kick him in the nuts, pin him to the ground, crap in his mouth, then tear/re-tear both of his biceps.

OMG Dschmeid please tell me you are not going to be a personal injury lawyer and that you don't condone **** like this! I think I may have just left your bandwagon.

dschmeid,

I almost agree, I don't really have an argument against it, but change the scenario from high fiving Benny the Bull to high fiving Stu down at the local gym after a totally sweet inbounds pass (two handed, pronated arms, thumbs out, the works). Does he sue Stu? Maybe, but I doubt it. He's sues the Bulls cuz they're big and easy.

Plus he's a ****ing oral surgeon who can afford to sit near courtside **** his 4 months without pay. Accidents happen. He probably has sweet insurance.

No point in suing Stu as he probably doesn't have any money anyway. That and there is a big difference in my mind between two buddies slapping each other and some mascot grabbing your hand as he runs past.

Also lol @ the guy having insurance. If he did it would be the insurance company suing.

you've never been high fived vigorously with a hand grab or anything like that? You must suck at inbound passes.

He'd still be suing prob on his own behalf - doubt insurance would be paying out what he can squeeze out of bulls. Prob just wants a quick settlement for more than his trouble.

My best friend's dad won or participated in some sort of contest at Safeco Field that allowed him to run around the bases between innings at a Mariner's game. He tripped rounding third, and hurt his eye (yeah, his eye, I know how stupid it sounds). I never got the exact details of the circumstances or the injury, but I do know that he needed multiple eye surgeries that cost tens of thousands of dollars. He sued the Mariners, won, and got enough to cover all the medical costs, and had something like 10 or 20 grand left over. He bought a motorcycle.

If this dentist is suing for millions of dollars or something dumb like that, then yeah he's a total douche. If he's just looking to cover his medical bills and to make up any *legitimately* lost income though, I don't see a problem. I'm just saying.

"Dr. Don Kalant Sr. alleged he was sitting near courtside on Feb. 12 when he raised his arm to get a high-five from Barry Anderson"

You initiated the high five procedure, you thereby accepted the risks of said high five and you are agreeing to the potential harm done. Case closed.

He won't get a penny. Just the lifelong humiliation from his colleagues of being a pussy and that he's incapable of receiving of high five.

What do you call a doctor who flunked out of med school? A dentist. Who needs em.

ridiculous. he put his hand out to get high fived, not get his ****ing bicep torn. if you try to high five me and i grab your arm and break your wrist instead am i exonerated?

this is exactly why lawsuits exist. HE TORE HIS ****ING BICEP. this was not some normal high five. not every person who files a lawsuit is a money grubbing *******.

edit: if somebody hurts you by accident it's still their fault. above where the guy hurt himself running the bases, that's absurd. the mariners probably just settled out of court figuring it would be cheaper than fighting it.

phildo,

that's why i'm tentative to say the dude is a total ass because it might be some absurd aggressive arm tackle. but still, it's more to figure the guy is just a massive pussy with bad genes

agreed with this, it is technically the guys fault, it does suck pretty bad for him tho missing 4 months of work, not to mention his arm may not be as steady when it finally heals

Barry Anderson guys. This mascot is clearly a Barry Bonds/Brady Anderson super roided hybrid. Bulls definitely deserve to be sued for unleashing this beast's high fives amongst the general public.

Ballco had to be involved. Maybe we need a Mitchell report for Mascots!
