Well it's almost certainly overkill but they seem popular. Another thing is that I don't think people who don't participate ever open those threads, whereas in most others I suspect that there are a high percentage of lurkers, thus higher page views.

It is necessary and it's awesome. And Kobe wants it about a million times more than you do.

People just have no self control. One person makes a new draft and them bam, 5 new drafts. Then we have a lull and then it'll be way too many drafts at once again.

Also, drafts should have clearly ended with the posters draft but you all ruined that.

This is also one of the busiest times of the sports year and there is 50 stupid drafts going on.

How many drafts are running atm? Is the 2nd wrestling draft still going on?

What happened to the no more than 3 drafts at the same rule/post some time back?

Three were just started this week, plus all of these redrafts (another one was started today by our favorite film "insider").

Move them all to the fantasy subforum at this point. At least until you can control them. It's insane to have half the front page dedicated to this stuff when there is so much going on in the sports world.

That's imo overkill. Three really should be the maximum, two seems better to me.

the drafts are popular - god knows why - but something has to give here, it's out of hand.

I think RJ should come out with strong support for drafts, that will really put Franchise 60 over the edge.

tbh, the good draft needs to die right now. I still have no idea why thats getting any press.

Secondly, even though I signed up for the NBA one I agree wholeheartedly with all the bitching. I didn't anticipate the NBA starting today either, so that caught me off guard.

My solution: Nuke all drafts right now and put a month moratorium on them. Start over slowly.

Starting a draft of a sport that is currently in season makes zero sense.

Is it really that big a deal?

I've probably learned more about sports/movies/animal combat and gotten to know more 2p2ers from the drafts than anything else in this forum. I don't really get why it's a big deal if most of the posters are clearly enjoying them.
